I visit this humane society every time I'm in town. The staff is always friendly and helpful, even if you are just there for a visit and not ready to adopt. I love their free-roaming cat rooms and the scenic walking trail for the dogs.

Avery County animal shelter helped reunite a lost dog I found with their family and I greatly appreciate all of the help and resources used to make this happen. The dog was in question between two counties, and Avery County really did their thing. Thank you ❤️
