Buying was great , salesman was great . I got exactly what I wanted , straight forward transaction. First oil change free, that was great2nd oil change I went to parts counter to order window vent visors, tow hooks , floor mats .parts employee suggests I order that stuff on line . I don’t like ordering online,I like paying cash in person. Employee at parts counter was wearing a mopar performance t shirt, not a huge deal but I’m inside the Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet building.Recently noticed the door stop on the drivers door on my truck was broken and where it bolts to the cab pillar the metal is deformed/fatigued.I call the service department, get the run around “it’s not under warranty” ,etc. after arguing, they agree to look at it to “see if the door had been hit”. I show up at the dealership and park in the check in bay. I go talk to the salesman while my truck is looked at. I come back to the check in bay to see a mechanic with 3 service writers watching him . The mechanic lubricates the hinge/door stop and tightens the bolt that fastens the door stop to the cab, then he says “amazing” and the 4 employees laugh at the vehicle owner (me) not realizing I’d walked in . The mechanic says “the bolt was loose” . I explained the black hinge (door stop) part is broken ,right beside where the mechanic put his socket to tighten the bolt that was left loose at the factory and again missed at the dealership when the truck was frontlined. I had to physically point out the broken part to the mechanic. Mechanic removes the bolt from the door stop, then decides to drive my truck to the body shop to replace the part.Truck is finished, I’m handed my key. I go to my truck to find a piece of black foam packing material stuck to the outside of my drivers door and a greasy hand print on the door of my white truck (how do u miss that?) . I open the door and see the cab pillar is scratched where the mechanic removed the bolt then closed the door to drive to the body shop.I go in the showroom to see the finance manager as he’s the captain of the ship at that time. I explain to him the paint is scratched, he’s reluctant to deal with it but does look and acknowledge the damage. Agrees he would not like his truck scratched . Agrees the scratch did not increase the value of my truck .None of this is catastrophic, but it’s like they were continuously trying to outdo themselves. The mopar performance t shirt is my favorite part of my Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet story.Everything in this review is what you should expect when taking your vehicle to the local vocational school where you have high school kids working on your car. Not the Chevrolet dealer, not Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet. The old boy is rolling in his grave watching these clowns

Stopped in just to visit and grab a photo op. The guys were friendly and didn't mind talking about Dale. There's a gift shop in the service area, I found a few things in there that I couldn't live without.

the truck came back clean inside and out and communication was great with the tech calling me about a potential delay and offering to bring my vehicle back or bring out a loaner if I needed a vehicle to use.

I was very impressed with how quick the service technician made repairs on our 2007 Chevrolet Silverado Duramax. They also suggested some farther prevention maintenance on our truck. I think the service department did a great job. But the lady in the cashier's office was not friendly at all. As I'm a big Dale Earnhardt fan I asked if they had anything Wrangler and without even looking at me she said this ain't Wrangler so I said Ok and paid my almost twenty three hundred dollar bill. As I was leaving I asked the lady up front a question about the show car and again without even looking at me she just said I don't know. Once again I would like to thank the service department for the quick repairs on our truck. The five stars are for the service department not the other two ladies. Thanks Jack Hinson
