RUDE RUDE RUDE!!! Nothing but rude the old lady at the register was so rude and hateful when I brought up I was charged wrong! Didn’t want to deal with it so just left! Always check the recipe!

It’s so fun to swing by whenever we’re on Oak Island! I’ve found clothes, books, glassware, pillows, stuffed sea creatures, & more at great prices! They always have a rack of Bibles too, free for anyone who needs one.❤️It’s a treat just to swing by and see what kind of good “junk” they have in house each time?

Everything is 50% off. A great cause, and nice selection. Nice salespeople.

Quadruple what the prices used to be. I bought a crockpot 4 months ago on a half off day for 4 dollars. Just saw one today used for 40.........I am disappointed. People go to thrift stores because they can thrift, not experience inflation on stuff people donated for free. We have been here 15 years and never seen this outrageous increase in price. I want to shop at a thrift store for a good cause that benefits both where the money goes and where its coming from.

They have gone way up on their prices!! I haven't been here in about a year. I used to love this place. Used to be able to find pretty, used items for affordable prices, but not anymore. I guess they were bitten by the greedy bug too.

So disappointed in how much this place has increased their pricing...$30 for an average department store handbag, $6 for a glass, $850 for a curio, these are donated items and it highly discourages people from supporting you, there were 2 other shoppers saying the same thing while we were in there...it's a real shame, this was one of my favorite thrift shops at one time.

I just love visiting the Hope Chest when we visit Oak Island. The ladies who work there are always so kind and helpful. They have a very large resale store and the prices are very reasonable. They also almost always have a storewide discount! They always have lovely pieces. Like any other resale store, you can have a great trip or no luck. It just depends what you are looking for but it is always worth stoping here.

They want more than what you pay for their stuff brand new in a store
