I’m sure I am unable to share my story without shedding many tears, but it’s important for you to know the kind of doctor and staff that is here at this office. Early March 2023, I received the devastating news from our vet that our beloved Buzz was gravely ill and suffering. We made the difficult decision to not allow him to suffer any longer so we agreed to have him put down that day. Sadly, our vet was unable to schedule our Buzz to be euthanized in the late afternoon that day. This was important because our son wanted to be with us when this happened so that we could all be with Buzz and showering him with love as he took his last breath.I started frantically calling any vet in my area to see if anyone would be willing to accommodate us for a late day appointment - for a non-patient - for this situation. Not only did the staff at NW Animal Hospital agreed to help us with this very difficult situation, but they were extremely kind and compassionate and comforting when we all arrived for our appointment that afternoon. Our oldest son had to drive from Raleigh to make it and they were super kind to allow him time to arrive. Again, keep in mind that we are NOT patients of this animal hospital at this time and they helped us during our darkest moments, allowed us as much time as we needed in the rooms after he passed away and for that we will forever be grateful. After a few months without Buzz, we decided we were ready to adopt another dog from our local rescue to love. When we got Charlie, there was only one vet I was going to take him too.We adopted Charlie as a puppy and therefore there have been several visits already every three weeks for him for his vaccinations. They continue to be as loving and friendly and compassionate as they were the first time we stepped into their office on that sad day. I highly recommend them for their professionalism, their true love for animals, their expertise, their years of experience, and their fair prices.

Dr Wendy Camp is magnificent and the staff are absolutely so nice. They took such wonderful care of my cat Baby. He had to have a toe amputated and several teeth extracted. They did an excellent job. I highly recommend Northwest Animal Hospital

I followed Dr. Camp to her new practice. This place is a 40 minute drive from my home but I wouldn’t trust anyone else with the care of my first dog. He loves her, she loves him, and I’m pretty sure outside of me she is his best friend. He has allergy issues and she was the one vet that got his hair to grow back and then saved his life when he had urinary stones. She truly cares about my dogs and is the only vet that all three of my dogs like consistently.

Dr camp is amazing. She spent more than enough time talking with me yesterday about our dog and taking her time to make sure our dog was taken care of and never even saw our dog or got anything out of it. Would you not go to this vet as of right now but I will be changing to this vet going forward just because of the time, attention, effort, and customer service that Dr camp and other staff members gave us. My parents have gone to this veterinarian for several years and now I understand why. I could not be more pleased with the experience that I had.

We found Dr. Camp when our elderly dog, Frankie, had become very ill, I wasn’t thrilled with our current vet. I called them and was able to drop him off to be worked in. Dr. Camp worked tirelessly over the next few weeks to try to get to the bottom of what was going on with him, staying late, calling specialists from teaching hospitals, truly going the extra mile. Although we weren’t able to save him, it wasn’t for her lack of trying. Her compassion and care for the animals she treats is unlike any I have experienced. We were sent the most beautiful card with personal messages from each of the staff and his paw prints, it was above and beyond what would ever be expected. The staff has always been so friendly and welcoming and it is evident that they love the animals that are patients there. That doesn’t go unnoticed. We now have two new loves, Toby and Henry, and I wouldn’t trust their care with anyone else!I never leave reviews, but when looking for care for your fur babies, it’s important to be able to see real and honest experiences and I felt compelled to share mine. Thanks to everyone at Northwest Veterinary Hospital for being so awesome?

Our puppy got into trouble while our regular vet was on vacation. Called NWAH as our neighbor’s puppy comes here. The receptionist got us in and was very kind and patient. The vet got to evaluate our puppy at the end of the day (it was past their regular working hours by then), explained the situation thoroughly to me before proceeding to the treatment plan. After sending us home with clear instructions, they called in a few days afterwards to follow up! Everyone I got in contact with was kind and patient and was trying their best to help. Very happy with this place!

I had 2 Rottweilers several years back and took both of them to NWAH. I loved the fact that the veterinarians were so friendly & actually took the time to listen when there was a problem, the front office staff was super friendly, and everyone treated you and your pets like family. So, after getting a new puppy a few months ago I already new I wanted to take her to NWAH as well.Since having my rotties though, things at NWAH have changed, and not for the better. Twice now (after only being a patient with them again for less than a month) I have called them about a concern, the first time not receiving a return call for a few days and this last time for an entire week! I would understand if this were just a general question but both times I’ve called and gotten delayed responses, my puppy actually had something wrong that needed to be addressed. I’m not sure if this lack of communication falls on the office staff or someone else but this is not good customer service at all. There have also been several times when I’ve been in the office and 1 of the 2 office ladies seems too overwhelmed and out-of-sorts to be able to juggle the ringing phones & processing paperwork during checkout (even handing folks other people’s rabies tags and/or invoices). Maybe the other office lady needs alternate support to assist with organization or maybe a different system to relay notes to the vets about patient calls should be put in place so patients actually get a return call in a reasonable amount of time. And, if my puppy’s main veterinarian being out of the office is the reason for the delay (the reason I was given for the 1 week delay in returning my call), perhaps the other veterinarian in the office could cover and return patient calls.Either way - the customer service & attentiveness to patient concerns just isn’t what it used to be and I just don’t feel like my puppy will receive the type of care she needs here so unfortunately I will be finding another place to take her.

The absolute kindest most considerate veterinary practice we have ever encountered. They loved and cared for our 3 pets as if they were their own.

Dr. Camp quite literally saved our dog's life. My husband showed up on her doorstep with our dog that had been hit by a truck on a Friday afternoon. We weren't even clients at the time and she took him in and operated on him until midnight. It was a very long road to recovery, and she was there every step of the way to support us, meeting us at the clinic several times a day to visit with him when he was still critically ill. He is here today because of her, and we are forever grateful. She is one of the best--veterinarians and people.

My outdoor cat was bit by a dog. Dr. Camp was able to see her immediately even though I've never been there before. All the staff is kind and sweet. Dr. Camp was amazing. I will make her my permanent vet from this day forward. Thank you Northwest.
