We rent kayaks here every year we visit. You can take the kayaks with you or launch from their dock on Silver Lake. This year Rachel York took care of our rental paperwork and was a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend Ride the Wind Surf Shop.

We signed up for a paddle board yoga session with Savannah and it was a great experience. Definitely the highlight of the trip. She was a great instructor and tailored the session to our skill level. She even took photos of us during the session so we could walk away with a memory of the experience. We also rented kayaks and paddle boards with Ride the Wind and it was a wonderful experience. Everyone was friendly, accommodating and provided us with great equipment. Highly recommend!!

We signed up for Surf Camp through the shop for my 15 year old son. He loved it! Great instructors great value.

We took the kayak eco-tour with Rachel and Robert. Not only did we feel that we were safe with their tutelage and guidance, but we learned a lot about Ocracoke and the marine life. I highly recommend booking a kayaking tour with them.

Great friendly and helpful staff. Ridiculously High Price tags on Everything. If you feel an overpowering urge to burn your money, this is the place.

What a great experience my parents had with this company. They delivered the kayaks before my parents arrived. All of the kayaks were well maintained and worked great. My parents were able to leave the kayaks at the rental and they came and picked up the kayaks after my parents had already left. Talk about great customer service and such a convenience for vacationers. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay. Central AC and 2 bedrooms with king beds in them. Place was clean and inviting. Views of the water were great and Bob was always there in case we had a question. We will be booking with them again.

The sound and beaches were great to tour by kayak. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Well worth doing.

Up stairs employee very rude! Went out of his way to follow us around and make us feel very uncomfortable. Would have made a sale if not for him. Experience was horrible and family felt attacked. Do not recommend.

Worst customer service I've experienced in a while. I've seen other reviews on here in regards to a rude employee. Sounds like you should cut your losses and fire them before you keep losing more customers. Definitely won't be coming back.

Came in here looking for a board cuz the surf was AMAZING. prices weren't the worst I've seen but not the best, love it here. It's like surf heaven on steroids.
