I like the activities- cards, uno, dominoes, and bingo. They keep my mind sharp. The Activity Director is great!! I love the activities that are offered. These are resident responses.

No stars! Beware of the facility! Don’t believe anything on the website! It is not resort-style living as stated on the website! The administration is awful. A nice activity calendar is posted each month in the Memory Care Unit with all the activities each day. I made a point of being there when activities were scheduled. No activities were done on a daily basis. Memory care residents are lucky if they do an activity once or twice a month. They are not stimulated physically, emotionally or mentally. Residents are seated in front of a tv all day with crime shows and MTV playing. Then they wonder why dementia residents are afraid at night! Food is awful. Not a balanced diet. No restaurant-style dining as stated on the website! Residents can’t even get a cup of coffee in the afternoon. When my mother was nauseated and vomiting, there was not even a Coke or Ginger ale in the building. I had to get in the car and go buy a soft drink and a cup of coffee several times. They advertise a beautiful patio and garden area for the memory care unit. There are about 4 rusted chairs out there and lots of weeds in the planters. No tables, no umbrellas, no plants. Unfortunately these are only a few of the things my family dealt with while my mother was there! Please don’t send your loved one to The Granville House! Administration will not listen to your concerns.
