I started following this place on Instagram when I moved back to Pilot. I was warned it was pricey, but I'm down to shop local. I visited the actual store on a day they had Cash & Carry at a separate location. I thought I saw a post about everything being 30% off, but I was informed less than politely that I did not. When we entered, I was wearing a mask, my five year old was not, the owner was talking to someone else, she looked at us, but didn't acknowledge us. We weren't acknowledged at all while we were in the store, welcomed or asked what we were looking for or spoken to in anyway. I did buy something (because again, I'm about buying local); but the item cost double what it would have at Hobby Lobby, Kirkland's or World Market. They hadn't even bothered to remove the tag holder from wherever they bought it from. The girl who checked me out was impatient. I couldn't hear her very well because she was wearing a N95 and someone was talking to my child behind me, further muffling the sound. I felt bad, but I just couldn't muster supersonic hearing. All in all, I'm all about shopping local. And I'm not opposed to trying this place again altogether, but it's not high on my list of things to do at all. If you're going to charge boutique prices for mass produced items, at the very least provide me with a good customer service experience to mitigate the difference.
