Aamco Repair On February 2, 2024, I took my 2018 Nissan Armada to Brads Auto LLC / Aamco total car repair at 316 N. Polk Street in Pineville NC 28134. I took it there because the vehicle was stalling and jerking a little bit. Prior to Planet Mistibushi had replaced spark plugs and coils. However, the problem persisted, and they suggested it may be the transmission. I spoke with Aamco and Brad the owner suggested towing it in so that he could look and properly diagnose. As stated on invoice# I136316 he charged $250.00 for towing and for diagnostic and labor he charged $316.75. Brad claimed to have put $50.30 worth of gas in the vehicle because it was towed in with low fuel. As stated on the invoice there was a problem present because the previous repair had corrected it. I picked up the vehicle and it drove fine up to February 21, 2024. On Sunday February 18,2024 the check engine light came on and I called Brad on Monday February 19,2024. Brad had my vehicle towed to his shop to further diagnose. After having the vehicle for a week and a half approx. Brad sent a work order # J137887 on March 12, 2024, for diagnosis $123.75 stating that the vehicles high pressure fuel pump as well as the fuel pump had to be replaced totaling $3538.30 with a proposed completion date of 3-14-2024. While he was telling me what the problem was, he also stated that while removing the fuel pressure pump some of the pump broke and fell into my engine. He stated that they retrieved as much as they could and would hope any remaining would not damage my engine. I asked can it all be removed, and he said no. I asked if he could perform an oil flush to see if anymore came out. He said that would not help and he hoped they got it all. On Monday March 18 at 2:04 pm I received a text stating the vehicle was ready to pick up. I picked up my vehicle (invoice I136465) and drove from Pineville to my home in Charlotte. As soon as I backed in my driveway the vehicle started sputtering and acting like it wanted to cut off. I pressed the gas a little and it caught and started right back. The very next day I notified Brad that the vehicle was doing the same thing. Which was acting like it was not getting gas and vibrating a little. Brad sent a tow truck the next day (March 20) to see what the problem was. After a few days Brad called to say it was his worse fear and that was the engine. He then proceeded to quote me a price of $10,000.00 -$12,000.00. Brad told me to ask the bank for $12,000.00 to cover all costs. I told him I would call him back with my decision. After doing further research I discovered that the metal was the cause of the engine failure. I also discovered that some metal is normal due to normal wear and tear. Brad stated that "shards" of metal had fallen into the engine. "Because the failure to look for metal in the screens and filter, or ignoring what is found, can lead to catastrophic engine failure". At this point I was mechanically exhausted and arranged for a tow truck to retrieve my vehicle. Brad never expressed that he would right the wrong of his technician Andre Lucero. His only concern was getting more money. When the tow truck driver dropped my vehicle off, he asked me what was going on with the vehicle. I told him what I was told, and he said that Brad told him it was a timing belt issue. He wondered why he did not repair it if it was the timing and I explained what the real problem was. He said no wonder he was rushing us out there. My concern is that I have financed the work that Brad "supposedly" corrected which resulted in another issue. I feel as though he should have at least either repaired the engine due to their negligence or offered a refund for the pending financing. I have contacted the finance company to alert them that the work was not done properly and resulted in more damage. This letter is to request a full refund to the finance company, relieving me of any monies owed to them. A man is only good as his word and work and at this point neither is credible. I am trying to keep a tough situ

Would NOT recommend!! They have had my car going on a month to change a waterpump. In the process of changing the waterpump and timing belt that messed the motor up in my car. Then they went to replace the motor and that motor was no good. Now we are on motor two and something is wrong with this motor too. Do not know when my car will be fixed. Then in the process of all this I was told by the owner that he would just push my car out of his shop and I can take it somewhere else to get the problem they THEY caused fixed. Staff is rude, Josh thinks that everything is a joke and laughs everytime that I call up there to get a update or to ask a question. This is no laughing matter. I just want my car fixed properly and returned to me. But at this point I dont thik the car will ever be right and that i will always have problems with it.

I took my vehicle to 3 different repair shops. Trying to use an Auto Parts and Service Repair Warranty purchased through financing is NOT a process that seems familiar with most regional or national repair chains, Firestone, Mavis etc... the other, Grease Monkey, thankfully had a working knowledge of the Warranty process but was the 3rd repair option, 1st and 2nd mentioned previously, who misdiagnosed the issue with my vehicle, completely. Bad CV joints, axle damage and finally, the transmission. Referred to Aamco for this, the real problem was diagnosed, far from a transmission or CV Joint issue. Owners were well aware of the Warranty process, repaired the correctly diagnosed issue and a small amount of other work for free in return for an unexpected delay in service time. This whole process was stressful and a little surreal from multiple misdiagnosis, but these guys knew exactly what was they were doing. Grateful, thanksService: Steering & suspension repair

! BEWARE ! These guys are legit scam artists. They will start off by giving you a reasonable estimate of time and money to fix your problem. But the first fix will take weeks and "unfortunately, won't fix the problem". Now that you are desperate to get your car back, you will be told that your vehicle is "undrivable" or "on the rack" and the only way to get it back is to spend an exorbitant amount of money. Ultimately, I drove my car into their shop and had to get a tow truck to retrieve it nearly a month later.

I recently had some work done at this location due to a shifting problem I had from another AAMCO location that did a complete rebuild to my transmission. After the other location told me "There is nothing we can do" I took my truck here. I wish I had taken my truck here because these people were fantastic in addressing my issue and Brad assured me that it will be fixed properly. He kept his word and promise to me because there was indeed a problem which is now corrected, and my truck is shifting like it should be. I highly recommend this place because these guys know their stuff!

One star because I had to! I originally heard all good things about the name brand Aamco however this job I will never go back to! Took my van for a transmission replacement, they did my rear diff at the same time. Transmission fluid leaked when I picked up and my transmission Mount bolt was loose! My e-brake cable broken on driver side and left disconnected on passenger side. Took back to fix, transmission Mount got tighten, still leaked fluid when picked up never even looked at e-brake cables. Took back and said they needed to redo transmission under warranty, I let them and picked up it was still leaking has leaked since we got it back and now they want to charge me to fix it! I explained to them it was leaking since they originally did it. Fixed the leak which was the transmission pan gasket but didn’t clean up their mess. now less then 2 weeks since they did the transmission flush with the pan gasket the transmission whistles upon acceleration. Looking for a new transmission shop, just wanted to warn people!

BEWARE!!!! Our sons car was having transmission issues and we left the car at the AAMCO Pineville to have it inspected. We were told that basically the transmission needed total replacement and they could get us a remanufactured transmission for $3300.00 plus labor, 5 months out. Also, they wouldn't look at a repair or rebuild. We were informed the total cost with labor to complete would be a little under $5000.00. They offered to install a used transmission as well (all high mileage ... my son's car has ~60k miles). We searched to see if we could find a transmission ourselves so they could install it, and found one with warranty for $2100. Their price for labor went up ~$600 (without warranty), or we could go through them at their $3300 markup for the transmission ... but the total price seemed to creep up (now over $5100). I lost confidence in both the high price and whether or not they fully explored other possible causes. I found another shop for a fresh start. They found the problem (a damaged transmission line) ... including tow, the cost is under $500.00. Also, the tow truck driver said the owner suggested they charge us extra for being a nuisance. We were the ones that got away......BEWARE!!!!
