Friendly staff. Nice selection. Lisa was extremely helpful! Excellent customer service. We would return to this location anytime because of the good service we received as opposed to another we visited recently where we had a completely different experience.

I ordered a smaller purse to take on a trip. I did carry it 2 or 3 times. But like most women I change my purses out. Did not have a clue that even though I did not know it wouldn't be accepted as it was purchased pass 2 months ago. To begin with I couldn't find anybody working so I went to the floor below me and was told to go up to customer service. I get the customer service and no one's there after waiting 30 minutes I found another clerk finally that was running a register. She said sorry no returns no cash back your receipt is over 2 months old. I normally carry my purses over years.. And I have used penny's since 1970. That has now come to an end I will not use any of their products nor shop in your stores ever again. At age 70 I know there are other stores that stand behind their products. One of the straps came loose already and the other 1 was showing that it was happening soon. Do not buy this product. It is very poor quality.

I had the best customer service experience in this store yesterday afternoon. I was attempting to order prom shoes because they didn’t have her size in stock. Well, I swiped my debit card, entered my PIN, and it declined. Hmmmm, tried it again, declined. Checked online bank account, all is well, but card continues to decline, there’s people behind me, and my frustration is building. The lady behind the desk suggested I phone the bank to see what the heck is going on. But it was almost 6 and I couldn’t reach anyone. My daughter came back holding a purse she wanted too, so I asked the lady to please try to ring up just the purse on the other terminal on the opposite side. I was thinking perhaps that terminal was maybe dusty inside or was having a techno glitch, so she agreed and we shoved over to the opposite side. She rang up the purse, I swiped my card, and it went through with no issue! I was excited because I thought I was right, and now I could order the shoes! She got excited with me and we rang up the shoes and it was declined AGAIN!!! She and I just stared at each other in disbelief and utter confusion. I was defeated and ready to walk out angry, frustrated, confused, and without shoes. Then, the cashier lady’s eyes lit up and she said, “No, wait!! I want you to try something.” She went back around to the terminal and rang the shoes up, for what feels like the tenth time, and then says to me, “Do NOT enter your PIN # when it prompts you, hit the button to bypass PIN, and lets see what happens” so that’s exactly what I did and the purchase went right through!!! I was elated!! I told her that I have no idea how or why that even occurred to her, but I’ll be taking that little cash out hack with me on every shopping trip from now on. If I ever have trouble again, that doesn’t make sense, I will certainly be giving that a go! Thank you JCPenney lady with the red hair and glasses, we appreciate you to the moon and back!

Do not believe the posted hours. Save yourself a trip and call first. Supposedly open at 10a on April 8th. This store was most certainly not open at 10a. Arrived at 10:30, exterior doors and interior doors within the mall not open. We chose to shop elsewhere.

I went to the JCPenny in the Carolina Place one yesterday to buy the prom dress for my daughter. The whole place looks so much clean and very well organized. Then I purchased one . But after that I checked that out with Neelima , one of the cashiers in Jewelry Department. She is absolutely awesome. There were so much care and responsibility when she was checking the item. Probably she had a long day . But she did a phenomenal job. She is definitely a Gem in this store. In my opinion probably I will go back to this store again because of her. Because I know she will go above and beyond to meet people expectations .

I have been waiting to hear back from the jewelry dept for over a month now about my engagement ring and I’ve called the past 2 weeks to every dept multiple times a day and no one answers the phone , even the operator option just rings and rings. Horrible customer service! This is unacceptable!

Went dress shopping with my daughter and found 2 but there were no dressing rooms open. What is the expectation from the customer? Buy the clothes, try on at home and return? There are online services for that and this is not why people go to box stores. Bought a dress from a boutique store in the mall with dressing rooms.

I went to JC Penny's in pineville NC to puchase curtains. They had an excellent selection however, after waiting in line 45 minutes to check out I left without the curtains. How does JC Penny's only have 2 cashier's for the entire upstairs department. The store has 5 employees standing around or folding clothes while the line was crazy. The manager needs to be fired!!!?The line to check out was wrapped through the isles. How do you have a store that big and only 2 cashiers?After standing in line 45 minutes I gave up. This store needs to be shut down. Back to online shopping for me!! I will never shop at JC Penny store again.

I am utterly disgusted.. I went in to get some pieces to return to work. I had about 8 regular priced items, as I proceeded to the fitting room, I watched two women exit a fitting room with arm fulls of clothing and made their way to the register to check out. I was stopped by the woman at the fitting room and told I could only take in 3 items. When I pointed out the two women that had just walked out, the woman in the fitting room had no response. I asked oh is the 3 piece limit just for me then. Again no response, so I gave all items to the fitting room attendant and left the store. I can't believe this is what's still going on. I know who will not get my money.
