Today, me and my boyfriend were asked to leave because we were accused of putting stuff in his bag. My boyfriend was going into his bag to pull out money to pay for some make up wipes that I asked him to buy for me. The worker said he would search us if he could and my boyfriend politely said that he can show him what’s in his bag and the worker rudely replied, either put back what you took or get out. I believe that the worker treated us this way because my boyfriend is African-American. I tried to call four times to speak to a manager but no one answered. I will not be coming back to the Dollar General.

several times now you go to the Dollar General thinking they’re going to close at 10 because It’s always closed at 10 but they are closed and it’s only 945 or 950 if they’re going to close early they need to put a sign up it were people know that it’s closing at the earlier time. Because the sign that they have up only says 8 o’clock – it doesn’t say closed time It’s just kind of annoying when you think somethings going to be open at 10 o’clock and you have 15 minutes to get there and you get there and it’s closed

So so experience this am early. Bought birthday supplies and couple of balloons. I brought a couple mylar balloons with me. I didnt realize there was several pieces in the pack. I was told there was a charge to blow them up. No problem. I paid and when the packs were opened we realized there were several pieces. For it to make sense arrangi g them I needed them all to be blown up. The cashier said I only paid for 4 so that's all I could get. I would have been glad to pay for all the pieces. I guess she didn't want to fool with me because 2 more customers were at checkout. She wasn't rude or anything but she could have just said I needed to pay again. I would have waited between customers. Also they were out out helium tanks and I couldn't do them myself. It was just a bad experience. I wish John the manager had been there. He is so helpful. He would have gladly helped me. Evidently she is not a people person or has a fear of more than 2 people in a line. If you can't do your job and gladly wait on your customers you need to be in another line of work. Im also a very frequent shopper there and spend a lot of money there. I'm also irritated because I would have gladly paid again to get all the pieces in the package blown up. Instead I had to send someone to Walmart to buy an helium tank. So that was an additional expense.

As a dollar General employee, I only have one complaint. The coustomers are rude and disgusting. I dont know how many times i have to go and unclog the public bathroom because coustomers clogg it with toilet paper or products! Or go and clean up messes that coustomers make. Sometimes I literally have to be a emotional and physical punching bag for coustomers to use when our card systems don't work properly or when we don't have the correct thing they need. Oh and don't think we don't look at cameras when coustomers steal our products because we do. Oh and when we catch them and confront them they get mad at us for doing our job. What makes me angry the most is when we have to close eirly and some coustomers dont have enough common sense to read the sign on the door that says clearly on the door we are closed. Oh and the reason we close so eirly sometimes is because NO BODY WANTS TO FREAKING WORK! Coustomers really don't understand the absolute struggle we go through when we close. We cant stay open at nights if no one wants to come in and close. The thing is it isn't in our control if workers don't wanna work. Don't think corporate has no idea when we close. They do they are the first people we contact when we have to close. Other than that good service I love working there love some of the people. Its just I cant stand the complaints and constant questioning I get. Plus the constant abuse I get from the coustomers. Like really if you dont like it its simple dont come in.
