The purpose of Chatham Habitat for Humanity ReStores is to generate funds to build houses in partnership with people in need by selling donated merchandise such as used furniture, appliances, home goods, electronics, building materials, hardware, paint, etc. at reasonable prices. In so doing, we also assist in the recycling efforts of the county. We successfully keep thousands of tons of waste out of local landfills each year.
At ReStore 1, we sell home goods like furniture, appliances, housewares, home electronics, linens, dishes, and more. At ReStore 2, we sell new and used building materials including plumbing supplies, lumber, tools, hardware, paint, floor coverings, doors, windows, sinks, tubs and other construction materials.
