“On 27 Sept 2024 my Honda Odyssey would not start and I was towed to Uhl's garage, a family run business. The owner Skip came out and did a quick assessment saying that there was no compression and that the timing belt likely broke causing severe engine damage. They were willing to dig in and verify the damage but I asked them if I could keep my vehicle there until I could get a truck to tow it back up to northern Virginia. They kindly kept my vehicle until 9 Oct 2024 when I was finally able to pick it up. They even helped me load the vehicle onto the tow dolly. I expected to be charged for an hour or two of labor and possibly storage fees but they said no charge. I even offered to give them some gratis money which they refused. These folks are the friendliest, honest and most generous repair shop I have ever worked with. If you happen to break down while at OBX, this is the shop you want to work on your vehicle. Thanks Skip and family!”
