I am so thankful I use this storage unit. Kris and Carolyn caught that my unit wasn’t properly locked and called me in less than 24 hours after I left the site. They even had someone watching over it the best they could while I drove over there. Easy access and really good people managing the place. Highly recommend!

Have worked with Bob and Caroline at 2 different locations in the outer banks. Have been great to work with for setting up everything online and Bob at the locations for myself and my daughter.

We rented a storage space for our camper at this facility for the past 4 years. We have been very pleased with the service and the space. The management is very good to communicate any needed information. Access is controlled by a secure gate system, and we were very comfortable with leaving our camper at the facility. The location worked well for us, and the pricing is much less expensive than what we would pay over the bridge. I would recommend this site for your storage needs.

I was looking for something close to the bridge at the Outer Banks. This facility is not visible from the highway but very close to the bridge. I compared a few places all close to this one, and after speaking with Sara on the phone I ended up with a great rate and exactly the unit I needed. Couldn't have been more helpful, had all the answers, and clearly explained the process. Super nice! Thank You!

Very difficult to reserve what I wanted, when I wanted it. Forget about trying to reserve more than a month in advance. They kept getting my check in date wrong. The office personnel would tell me everything OK, and then I would get an email telling me my reservation was cancelled because I didn't check in. They give you a phone number of an on site manager, when in fact it is an unstaffed location. Something they never told me until I tried to meet with the manager. I had to sign document that my vehicle was insured and runnable, but I was parked next to vehicles that were full of trash and had not moved in 20 years! It is supposed to be a secured facility but every time I go there the gate is wide open and no one is there. I did notice that there are several other storage locations nearby to store an RV and I will check with them next time.

Powell's Point Self Storage management, Sara especially, was outstanding in getting me into the facility and leaving my belongings securely stored. The facility is modern, secure and monitored. Based on this first experience I am looking to rent more space soon.
