“I took my 1983 Jeep J10 in for three repairs.
1. Alternator bracket mount. Belt squealing.
2. Gas tank leaking. Plastic tank. I had asked to repair at a previous visit. Filled up my tank level gauge, it leaked 1/8 th of a tank. Had a stain in my driveway the size of a beach ball .. Gravel drive.
3. Radiator hose leak.
None of these were repaired.
The charge was $127.00
After 10 years happily dealing with the previous owner, I no longer use Buxton's. Would not recommend to anyone.”

“I live in Greensboro and this 55 min drive was 100% worth it. They are very reasonably priced, helpful, and knowledgeable. I got my catalytic convertor replaced here for significantly less than what I was charged at other places.The mechanic also educated me to get gas from Shell or BP, and to get premium gas 1 out of 4 fill ups to be kind to my engine.Definitely recommend.”

“My car was hit by a deer on Dec 7th. I had it towed from Martinsville where the event took place to Adkins Brothers Inc. in Danville. Shawn, the owner, got back to me quickly with an estimate, and I gave him the go-ahead. Surprisingly, the work was completed, and the car was picked op December 20th. Less than 2 week turn around, and the car is flawless. It looks brand new, even though it's a 2008 vehicle. I can not thank Adkins Inc. for their impeccable attention to detail and prompt service. I highly recommend Adkins Brothers Inc. for any collision issues, and they're really nice folks as well!!”

“George is nothing short of a legend when it comes to transmissions. Guy makes art out of a chaotic component. Factory transmission went out in my first Tahoe, Took it to him to be rebuilt told me that he wanted to buy this transmission off my truck if I ever sold it factory transmission didn’t make it 100,000 miles his rebuild lasted nearly 400,000 Damn truck was strong as an ox after that!!”

“I used to take my cars and trucks to other places. To get fixed, however, they always overcharged me. Then I came to this marathon. My 4 wheel drive wasn't working. They got it done within a couple of days and I only take my vehicle back to this place before they do any work. They do tell you Things that are wrong and if it needs to be done, they do call you to let you know it needs to be done. Now it's up to you whether you get it done or not. But these people are extremely nice and professional”
