“I recently had a nightmare series of disappointments with U-Haul while moving from Augusta, GA. First, our auto transport trailer was 18 hours late. Then Google Maps took me down a dead-end road, and when I triedto get the trailer off in order to safely turnaround, the job was impossible, and U-Haul Roadside Assistance left me in the lurch for three hours before a Good Samaritan helped me back the whole rig out of the alley. When I went to return the trailer to Green Apple Deli (the alternate name for this U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer), the lady at the counter could not have been more helpful and polite, practically the first helpful person in this comedy of U-haul errors.Then when I finished with the truck, exhausted from unloading the 26 foot behemoth, I tried returning it to the location U-Haul suggested, only to find a locked gate, limited hours and no clear way to drop off after hours. Then I remembered how close Green Apple Deli was. Tried to call U-Haul to change the pickup location and again, nothing but an interminable hold. But when I pleasemy case to the young lady at the counter, she was more than willing to help. Instead of charging me for the location change, the sweeping I completely forgot to do, or any of the other nickel and dime surcharges I was expecting, she took care of me as though I had never done anything wrong and treated me like an longtime customer instead of the entitled suburbanite I was probably acting like.I plan on returning to this Sunoco as a frequent customer, and if G-d forbid I ever have to use U-Haul again, this is the only dealer I'll trust with handling the reservation.”
