While on vacation we happened upon this amazing place! I don’t even have the words to describe how wonderful this place is. A pay what you can restaurant and cafe. Everyone is welcome, the food was delicious, the volunteers and staff were incredible. If only there were more places like this in the world, how different we could be. Do yourself a favor and look up their website, their mission, and then visit this place!

First time here - curious about the novel concept of "pay what you can" in money and/or sweat equity. Pleasant walk-up to order then table delivery. A guide at the door explains the concept when you arrive and are a newbie. All staff and volunteers are attentive and pleasant. Very diligent in bussing the tables without being intrusive. I had a chicken salad on toasted sourdough with a side salad (greens and cherry tomatoes) - delicious! My friend had turkey bacon avocado on sourdough with homemade chips, also good. A place at the table - eat and do good. It's an uplifting atmosphere.

Food was sub par, no soft drinks. Seemed to be trying to be more upscale but forgot the homeless in the process. I'm educated and homeless and I want a nice atmosphere to unwind and enjoy food. Food and menu needs a giant redo.

I can upon this location by accident when I was in town with my husband for a training. It made my heart so incredibly happy. Everything was 100 stars. Amazing food, people and atmosphere. Incredible vibe♡ I will be back every day until we leave.

I went here today because my niece asked me too. However, it is a great charitable place to supportive. I didn't like the staff hubbering over my area while I reordered more food the female staff was seeking space for an older group who I guess is a donator. But overall I will not be coming back but it's a great establishment. Can't wait to try the cheesy grits and bacon I ordered on my second trip back today. ?

Today was my first time volunteering at this "pay what you can café". They have lots of wonderful breakfast and lunch options with vegetarian and gluten free options. They also serve Black & White Coffee, which is my favorite in Raleigh. I definitely recommend volunteering here for your meal if you have the time. The huevos rancheros and biscuit sandwich are my favorite!

Great food, great service, and an impactful mission in the community. I had the biscuits and gravy, and it had just enough kick. Just such an incredible energy in this place.

The best grits and eggs I've had in years. I also loved the gluten-free waffle. But what I loved most is the premise behind this place.Dietary restrictions: There are lots of gluten-free and vegan options. For someone with highly sensitive gluten intolerance, there is the possibility of cross contamination. As someone with celiacs, it was fantastic for me.

A Place At The Table Raleigh is the greatest place not only to eat with all the delicious food (especially the Cinnamon Rolls), but also to volunteer since there is always something to do. I rate ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
