The man that helped me figure out my headlights is amazing! A person can go into any auto parts store but the people working there make the difference! Thank you. I wish I would have got your name!

Rolled in this morning with a dying battery and a couple questions later I was outside with one of the guys checking the battery with their diagnostic tool. Sure enough, the battery was toast. We headed back inside, I bought a new one, and another great young man from behind the counter walked out to my car and installed it for me while we chatted about all manner of things. The whole process only took maybe 10 minutes and everyone I interacted with was genuinely kind and warm. I left a couple hundred dollars lighter but with a working vehicle and a high level of happiness/satisfaction that made for a fair trade in my mind. Give these folks a visit if you find yourself in need of automotive services - you'll be in good hands.

Advance Auto Parts CaresRobert P.1 review 0 helpful votes January 26th, 2023I mean no disrespect to employees of this business when I tell, story. My experience is not with any local parts store, it it with the company as a whole, and feel the people of this great nation need to know the frustration, stress, fear of losing life by way of brake loss due to oil contaminated car quest oil sold as new.A warning to EVERYONE! Advance first of all does not care at all about how any of their products have impacted your life, or may have caused any stress, fear, frustration, they simply only care about MONEY! Surprise, right? I've even written to the CEO about this, and here's another surprise, want to guess? You are correct, NOTHING, NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY!See, most people who buy parts from this company, do work on cars themselves, and in some cases while you're taking off a part you send someone to buy a part, so you can cut the job time in half. Listen very carefully! If you send someone who lives at your SAME ADDRESS and not thinking they give their number instead of your, this creates a huge problem, so please I warn you, dispute what stress of fixing a car you have going on at that point, for the love of God, tell them to use your number!A caliper went bad in a 2010 ford focus, but there's a parts store down the road that can get me up and going so while I thought at the time, I'll start taking the components off the car and send someone to pick up parts, this was a mistake, not this company! A caliper, brake fluid, clamp tools, and pads were purchased to fix the problem, new caliper replaced, pads installed, brakes bled with what we thought was new fluid, I peeled a foil seal off the lid, and didn't think to call the lab to have them test this fluid, I mean who does?So now a few days go by, and brakes start getting worse, and then to a compete loss, so I'm inspecting, looking for a leak, but couldn't find anything, at the time I suspected maybe the booster, but I'm not a mechanic and wouldn't know how to diagnose that. $485 later and loss of a vehicle for a week, the shop changed the master cylinder and flushed the system hoping that would fix problem, and did for a week then brake loss again, so back to shop! Now $805 later everything needed to be be replaced, and another master cylinder, but that was warrantied, or it would have been over $1,000 for the second visit. I forgot to mention the shop verified the brake fluid bottle purchased, and used to bleed brakes was in fact the same contaminated in the car. The irony here is that more money was given to Advance Auto Parts because all the new parts were purchased by the shop that went into the car. You see, I didnt pay for any of those parts either, I mean I did by those parts, but using Advance Auto Parts way of thinking I guess I really don't have any claim, I have the shops receipts because I demanded them, but I guess Advance Auto Parts is right, those parts in the car now belong to the shop, I just paid for them.Big companies have big lawyers! This post is not to rant, or keep anyone from dealing with someone they trust, the employee's in these stores are great! I've never had a problem, it's the company itself, the CEO that cant say he's sorry a life could have been lost, but honestly although I sent multiple messages, even Expressing how important it is he reads this, I'm not sure the greed at the top even told him about it, but SHAME ON THIS COMPANY FOR PUTTING $1,300 above a life. They even got a piece of that, after I "didnt buy a caliper, pads, and tanted fluid" they benefited by selling a master cylinder, another 2 calipers, a lot of fluid, another set of pads, wheel cylinders, hoses and so on! Due to this not being a single store, and company itself I will repost everywhere. Again this means no disrespect to local businesses, as I said I think you guys are great. This is to inform the great people of this nation how this company at a higher level works, Thank you!

I ordered a muffler for my vehicle Saturday, June 12th in person at this store and paid for it on the spot. I received a paper receipt as well as a receipt emailed to my personal email address that I provided. I was told it would arrive in a few days. Tuesday arrives and I send my wife to go pick up the muffler for me since I am still at work on FT. Bragg. I forward her the email as proof of payment as well as send her a picture of the actual paper receipt as proof of purchase. I even go one step further to call the store and tell them I am sending my wife to get the ordered part so they are expecting her. My wife is greeted by the assistant manager Sam, who in her words she describes him as the most unprofessional person she has ever dealt with. Not only is he rude but he will not accept the receipt the store emailed me as proof of purchase and will not release the part to my wife. The receipt had the last four numbers of the card purchased and showed that it was paid for. Sam and the cashier both told my wife that it was not paid for and you can not leave with the part. They tried to look it up in there system by name, phone number, and nothing. My wife gives them the barcode that says "scan for solo pickup" that had all the info to include date and time of purchase but the horrible assistant manager Sam refuses to cooperate with my wife, while being rude and disrespectful, Sam does not attempt to look into the issue or to find a solution. Sam just says he can't accept the emailed receipt. My wife leaves and Sam very happily offers the customer service number to my wife. So my wife calls, and talks to Amanda in customer service who was very helpful and immediately found the issue. Amanda notified my wife and said that the store and Sam should have accepted the emailed receipt as proof of purchase because that is there policy, and Amanda from customer service accused Sam of being lazy and someone who refuses to cooperate with the stores customers. The problem was that the cashier at the store put my information under the name "advance, stock" which made it difficult to find in the system. Not the customers fault at all, but just an accident from the cashier I am sure. I call and get into a frustrated discussion with Sam and notify him that I am making the 90 minute drive myself to get this part and want to speak to him not only about the issue and him accusing me of not paying for the muffler, but how he treated my wife. He told me to come on up that he would be there until closing at 9pm. I arrived shortly after 6pm and Sam, the assistant manger, was gone. The cashier saying that he left "early" for the day. This whole thing could have been avoided with proper training and an understanding of proper management for this store. I feel sorry for this Advance Auto store for having to work for someone as unprofessional as Sam. Huge shout out to Rocco the other employee who got to the bottom of the issue with me, and even came out to apologize again to my wife in the parking lot.

My local AAP. The staff is always friendly. Getting to be on a first name basis with a lot of them at this point. They have a good selection of normal parts needed. I wish they'd expand their selection of higher performance oils, fluids, etc. But for the average person, they have most of what you'd need.

I need hard to find parts for an older carI usually go to the advanced over off of Millbrook I was on the other side of town so I stopped in at this Advance store. They had one of the three parts that I needed and they ordered the other two from two different stores one in Durham and 1 in Goldsboro.I'll be picking them up on Tuesday morning. The lady that helped me was very nice and very knowledgeable and knew how to locate Parts at different stores to be able to get them to the customers
