You have to pay before the alterations are done, you don’t get a chance to examine them at pickup or a receipt, and they don’t take notes well enough to do all the work asked for. Also expensive for the poor quality.

Quality service and timely alterations. My alterations are always done within a short period. We all know it's best to go early, but sometimes we have time constraints, and Advance Tailors always honor my request. The staff here are very polite and accommodating. I would not dare take my suits, gowns, and dresses anywhere else. The best!

I walked in this establishment one weekday evening. As I strolled in, I read the hours on the door and as soon as I walked in, I saw a clock on the wall. It was 10 minutes past closing time. A gentleman came from the back and asked what I needed. I showed him my pants that had a 2 inch rip in the seam. He took a look at it, and then looked up at the lock and he realized it was after closing time but said "if you pay $7 cash, I can do it now."I was shocked. I thought I was going to have to leave it there overnight. But I went back to my car to get cash and when I came back 3 minutes later, the job was complete.

Paid to have a bridesmaids dress altered. Services requested were to have it taken up to not drag while walking and the straps tighten and so they picked a pickup date for me to come back in 9 days. I come back in 9 days and my dress isn't ready!! After checking 3 racks full of clothes my dress wasn't even started on!!! They gone say "we had someone sick"...for nine days sir, no one else could do the work?! The woman then told me to come back that evening at 8pm, mind y'all I just got here after work so you want me to drive in 5 o'clock traffic to come back across town... no. Then she offered me $10 to go eat and come back...no. I asked for a refund and to just give me my dress because you haven't touched it so it's not like I'm taking advantage she gone say... I have it done by 730. -_- So all that to say, if you have other options try the other options first.Service: Alterations

Very good work,they are very fair with their pricing. Everything is always ready on time. We have been going here for years and will continue. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

I hate advance tailor. They do like the girls 10 years old. They are not professional. I was shocked when I saw my dress. Oh my god I can’t explain it any more. I did not read all reviews first. I just saw most of customer unsatisfied.I think they need to close.Service: General repairs

BEWARE!!! Took a bathing suit tank top in to be hemmed. They said it would be a few days. Went back and picked it up. Got home, removed from plastic bag and found they had NOT hemmed it; they simply cut across the bottom with scissors. Uneven at that! Completely ruined a brand new suit AND charged me $15.I will take it back in tomorrow but it can’t be corrected. To hem it now would make it WAY too short. SO upset!!! WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.Service: Alterations

This was the worse experience I've ever had with a tailor shop. All went well enough when I brought in two pairs of pants to have the waist shortened and the legs hemmed. The woman helping me was very nice, and after paying $77 I was told my pants would be ready a week later on March 31. The pants were ready as promised and I left with them on hangers and tied in plastic. Less than a month later I wear on of the pairs of pants and they fit nicely. The problem came once I washed them. The thread completely came out of one leg and the other looked on the verge of unraveling. I brought the pants back to the shop as soon as I noticed this. A man and a woman both tell me that this isn't their work because they don't use this thread. I no longer had the pick up ticket, but I was able to pull up the charge on my bank account. They then proceed to say they will fix my pants for half price. I let them know that this is unacceptable and they both continue to argue with me. The man said that they don't guarantee work and they won't re-do after 2 weeks. This policy isn't posted anywhere in the shop and I let him know that I was not informed of this at anytime. They decide to go ahead and fix my pants at no additional charge, but they kept accusing me of lying and even said that next time there will be no re-do of any work. I let him know there won't be a next time because I don't appreciate paying so much money for shoddy work and then being spoken to as if I'm a criminal. Please avoid this place because they do not care about their customers.Service: Alterations

I had a formal dress shortened. The hem was done on a serger and not altered as requested. The customer service was awful. When I went to pickup my dress, it was handed to me without a word being said. They didn't ask if it was acceptable or request I try it own. When I said I wanted to try it on, the gentleman pointed to the dressing room. He turned around and went to the back, never to return.Service: Alterations

I would not recommend this place. Prices were more than other tailors in the area. I informed them I was pregnant and would like my dress to be adjusted but I was told “you’re fine” and now my dress will not zip.
