First time user and the first impression was mixed. Great selection of equipment but laid out a bit like a maze so you need to search the different rooms. Some of the staff acts as if this was a free gym and not a pricy membership. Rushing people out in an unpleasant way when closing approaches and that’s on a Sunday, when they close at 5. Most other gyms stay open until 7-8 on weekends.

Very friendly staff and indoor swimming pool just make it a showstopper gym in Raleigh.

Great staff! Very welcoming and make you feel valued. I love most of them. A great variety of classes. A great amount of amenities! Has indoor warm pool, sauna and steam room. The only thing I would improve is the cleanliness of the women's locker room showers. It looks poorly cleaned with no tools to clean for self.

Unpleasant. One of the lifeguard at the pool on duty Monday evening kept getting on everybody for nothing. It sure did not feel welcoming for my little ones. Will not visit here again!!

The basketball courts are constantly dusty to the point where people are sliding around trying to play due to the fact that nobody bothers to mop the courts after summer camp

I've been a member of this Y for 30+ years. It's sad to see it going down hill. It used to be a friendly, welcoming place with great facilities and knowledgeable, helpful staff. It's not friendly, the facilities have problems, and the staff is not knowledgeable.Today, there's no hot water because the hot water and HVAC systems are being replaced. This outage started on April 17 and will last at least until April 26. I don't buy the idea that this will be an "improvement": last month it was the steam room in the men's health center that was broken. There's no permanent tenant in the coffee shop facility since the pandemic. I had a major problem recovering the combination to my locker. The list of issues goes on and on. This used to be the flagship YMCA of the Triangle. It's very disappointing to see such a fine facility in such decline.

Facility is great!! However in the men's locker room there appears to be no hot water in the showers. Maybe its me but I was assuming C= cold and H= hot, but nothing happened when I selected Hot. I'll asked at the front desk to see if that can be corrected or it's simply operator's error. But again GREAT FACILITY!!!

I love this place but the weekend hours are atrocious. Closes at nine during the week when they used to close at 10, which isn’t too big of a deal, but now they close at 5 o’clock on the weekends when they used to close at 8 on Saturday and 6 on Sunday. 12-5 on the weekends!? That’s pathetic. Looking for a new gym with better hours!UPDATE: Went by the facility anyways for a quick 30 minute workout today, Saturday, February 18. Figured I might be the only one who had a problem with the hours, but it’s clearly not just me as they had to kick at least 50 people out at 5pm. People are trying to work out on the weekends and stay in shape. Covid is over as well, so there’s no reason to close at 5pm on a Saturday. What about your employees? They can’t even get an 8 hour shift on the weekends? This can’t be the mission to limit working out. Beyond everything else, what about a safe space for at-risk youth on weekend nights? The basketball court is a safe place when many youth don’t have that in their home or community. This seems counter to the mission of the YMCA.

Front desk staff are absolutely wonderful- thanks Hannah! Everyone is warm and welcoming. Great selection of fitness classes. Can be crowded / noisy on weekends with basketball games etc. but what a wonderful contribution to our community.

I prefer this Y over the Finley location. This is a wonderful location with ample parking for this neck of the woods. This Y is located in the Cameron village area of Raleigh, traffic can get a little thick with NC State nearby. This location was refreshing. I found the facility modern and the staff wonderful. My daughter plays here some Saturday's for her away games. This location features a cute cafe near the entrance. I absolutely loved the vintage piece of artwork made of the basketball court floor hanging in the lobby. This location did not reek of chlorine as you walk in. The basketball staff were extremely professional and welcoming. If I lived in this area, this would be my go to Y.
