These people are actually terrible, not just slightly but wholeheartedly just nasty people. A job coach assigned through VR was entirely unhelpful, passive aggressive and outright ableist to the point she told me I was too difficult to help because I also had ADHD in spite of the fact it is common knowledge. No concept of basic accommodation requests such as appointment reminders, and they never return voicemails. 0/5 ☆s

ASNC has been on a recent ABA conversion tyraid with trainings in public schools, much against the wishes of actually autistic individuals. An organization that ignores the population they claim to serve is not one I would ever recommend. Very disappointing.

I can share my experience working with the team at Autism Society of North Carolina. Their staff cares deeply about families dealing with autism and they are extremely passionate about the work they do. If you are in need of support, education, or just interested in getting involved or giving back to help someone else improve their life - I recommend you reach out to ASNC.
