The most unbelievably horrible customer service that I've ever experienced in my entire life. Told me all I had to do was show up and sign a paper and then everything changed as soon as I got there. I had to drive with my trailer which forced me to park a mile away and then walk to the store just to be turned away.

I will change my review if this issue is rectified:Made a reservation for a vehicle that (at time of pick up) Avis is now alleging is unavailable. Claiming that we will have to re-reserve a new, different class vehicle (van) and pay the difference along with reservation fees. This is bad business and an example of putting pressure on people who are in complicated situations (family vehicle is in the repair shop until Friday). I am looking forward to someone resolving this situation and will happily change my review if that is how this goes.

Idk how they can have that lady in the register... they need to change the ppl who working there. They not nice at all. Always giving actitudes ppl dont like that. I dont like this place at all if i could give them a 0 STAR I WOULD. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

Paid for an Uber from the airport to Crabtree valley mall 30 minutes away, we had a prepaid reservation 3 weeks in advance. When we got to pick up the car the lady that was there very rudely said they don’t have any cars and that “she tried calling us earlier” to check Raleigh Durham airport Avis to get a car there. No missed calls, no voicemail, nothing. The 2 ladies that were there left 5 minutes after we walked out of the store to call customer support. Their “solution” was to call customer support but that they don’t have any cars. Absolutely ridiculous, no friendly customer service, no help at all. Do not ever reserve a car here.

I've got to share this mess of an experience I had with staff at this Avis Car Rental because, honestly, it was just ridiculous. So, I had everything planned out, reservation made, and I was all set. Then, get this, literally minutes before I was supposed to pick up my car, when I'm already in their parking lot, I get a call. And what do they tell me? "Sorry, we've got no cars for you." Seriously?But wait, it gets better. The staff there couldn't care less. They were like, "Oh, you want a car? Not our problem. Go call customer care or something." They didn't even try to help figure out when a car might be available or anything. Just dumped the whole mess in my lap and expected me to deal with it.So, not only am I standing there with no car, but now I'm supposed to fix their mistake too? It was super unprofessional and just plain frustrating. I mean, what's the point of a reservation if they're just going to bail on you like that?Long story short, Avis at Crabtree really dropped the ball and then just kicked it over to me to pick up. If you're thinking about renting from them, maybe think again or get ready for some potential drama. 'Avoid at all costs' doesn't even begin to cover it!PS: The customer care was kind enough to direct me to RDU location and agree to price match the reservation cost difference.

I arrived and it’s and it’s inside across from the enternece of H&M down stairs around the corner from Clark’s shoe store. They are working as two entities and some how are unaware that Google doesn’t show up under Avis/budget but two different numbers. They said the will not answer when dealing with customers. So don’t bother calling the 1404 number try the other one under Avis. Also even though Gos says to go to Bank of America just park and go in the mall. Or simply just go to enterprise.

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. The worst customer service I have EVER experienced. Told us they had NO cars to honor our reservation, and they had to keep the ones on the lot available for other bookings later in the day. Why would another booking take priority over mine while I'm standing at the counter?? After arguing for over an hour, we ended up having to pay an extra $50 in addition to our prepaid price to rent a van from them, when we had requested a small car. Then, they said there is NO OPTION for after hours returns, and we must return the car by 5pm, which will not be possible as we are coming in from out of town. Completely dreading having to deal with customer service when we return the car. ABSOLUTELY ridiculous and I will NEVER rent from Avis again.

This location is the WORST! The first time I rented from them I prepaid for the car. I had the app and when I arrived it told me the car and location where to pick it up so I could skip the counter. I get to the car, turn it on and the oil maintenance message and tire light are on. I go out to look at the tires, and sure enough, the tire is completely flat! I called customer service and they told me that I would have to wait in line to get another car. The line was about 45 minutes long! The lady at the desk didn't even look at me or apologize when I told her about the tire.She just told me there was another car and where to find it.A little over a week later, I rent again from this same location. My flight was delayed and since I missed my arrival time, I couldn't get a car from my app. I had to wait in an hour-long line. That was fine- they gave me a Nissan Maxima. (It was a 2018 and I didn't think rental companies gave out 5-year-old cars, but oh well). When I did the inspection I found marks on the car that looked like someone hit something. Then I looked and realized the gas tank was not full. I took pictures and told the employee at checkout and she said to just keep my pictures. As I was driving off, I heard a dragging noise. I pull over at the gas station and the whole front belly pan is dragging and the wheel well liner is missing. I take it back to show them and again NO apologies. They just told me to take pictures. While driving I felt something on my arm. I look down and I have 2 ants crawling on me. I look down at the armrest and there are ants crawling everywhere! I bought Clorox wipes and wiped the inside down but then I open the driver's door and seen hundreds of ants! We looked under the hood to see if they were coming from there and noticed there was close to no engine coolant, luckily we hadn't driven far enough for the engine to seize up.This place does not care what cars they are giving to their customers. I don't think they do any type of inspection on them before putting them on the lot, and their lack of customer service is appalling!Make sure you stay away from AVIS at the Raleigh/Durham airport!

Second rental within a few weeks and still AVIS don't get it. Filthy car full of damage. Embarrassed to be seen in the car. Air bag and oil change service lights on. This was a Challenger with approx. 10K miles not taken care of or serviced as needed. Reserved way ahead and still didn't have car I reserved so We got a car the was not as fuel efficient. The 1 star would be for the friendly black lady(5 for her) at the service desk.

Made a reservation one week ago to pick up today. Showed up at my reservation and they told me they gave the car away already and have nothing left. They said I'd have to call customer service myself, there was nothing they could do to help and I'd have to find my own car somehow.

Found the store inside of the mall. Went in and out pretty quick. Nice workers. Pretty swift.Had to leave a good review after seeing so many bad reviews that had me worried.I'll say this. Judge it for yourself. I had 0 issues, besides tryna figure out the location in the mall.

For my fellow Uber drivers this set up is very unorganized. The Avis app doesn’t tell you that there aren’t any cars available and forget trying to call, I talked to an agent that said I had to be there to run my information. I paid my Uber fare to get there just for them to say we don’t have any cars available and put my name on a wait list. Save your 20$ that voucher Uber offers has ran out. I’m out 20 bucks for nothing.

Terrible experience today with Avis. We booked a vehicle ahead of time and upon landing at RDU I received a call around 9am and they told me there were no cars at this location, my reservation was for 9:30am. They also informed me that it would take 3 hours to get the cars from another location - but wouldn’t tell me a specific timeframe. If the cars are coming from RDU, it shouldn’t take that long to have them come to Crabtree, or Avis should honor the rate I paid when I booked early - I also paid in full upfront. We went to the RDU Avis and had to pay $115 more for a vehicle on top of the money I paid for our reservation at Crabtree. This expense shouldn’t be on me when I booked a car well in advance. It feels like a scam, especially considering you can’t communicate with anyone for assistance. On top of it all, we’re also preferred plus members, I guess this doesn’t mean much to Avis.
