Came here to open our first ever US bank accounts and got an amazing welcome and guidance from Nikole: she was patient with our imperfect English, explained everything and helped on every step of the process. Great customer experience, we left with warm and happy feelings! Thank you, Nikole! The lady cashier was also very sweet.

Worst banking experience ever. My wife and I applied for a BOA credit card online and charged a small amount ($85.00) as part of a cruise we have planned. We never received the card or a billing statement. A few months later, my credit rating dropped 35 points because of an unpaid BOA bill. I went to the BOA branch on Oberlin Road in Raleigh to address this issue and was told that this account did not exist, but promised to look into it. We never heard anything from this BOA branch, despite my efforts to call (they don’t seem to answer the phone) and email (they don’t answer that either). I received another notice that my credit score had dropped again (another 15 points). I called BOA corporate headquarters (very helpful, by the way) and learned that there was indeed a BOA credit card in my name, but it had been sent to the wrong address. We paid the overdue amount online and got the mailing address corrected. My issue here is that the Oberlin Road Branch apparently never followed up on my concerns, even though it was impacting my credit score. It’s amazing to me that they would tell me that my credit card account didn’t exist, making me think that I was a victim of fraud. I told corporate to close my credit card account - I don’t want anything to do with BOA again.

They only have 10 AM to 4 PM hours and only have one person working at all times. The line is always to long to wait in unless you have a hour. Moving banks

Not one ATM was working. Drove all the way to make a necessary deposit to pay important bills. Not a reliable bank.

I had a horrible experience here a couple months ago trying to go through them to mortgage a home I managed to go under contract with. Despite working with BOA ahead of time, and learning about a wonderful program they had to help cover closing costs, they dropped the ball completely by simply ignoring me. I was in contact with John Exum, trying to finalize documents, when he told me we wouldn't have enough time before closing to complete. After increasing my earnest money to extend the closing date by more than enough time, he completely ignored me... No contact. I go into the branch multiple times to speak with anyone to help me and when I go through several people to get back to working with Exum, his response after ignoring me for so long was "I thought you had moved forward with someone else by now". Needless to say, I missed out on the benefits BOA claims to provide to cover closing costs, and managed to make me reconsider banking with them.

My business has worked with this branch for more than 15 years. It was great years ago, but over the years has become an example of a bank cutting corners. Now you can expect 6-12 people in line in front of you most anytime you go in, and more than likely, one banker to help you. They are nice and all, just more focused on opening accounts vs providing good customer service to their current customers. Sometimes you can’t use their tech tools like online banking and ATM’s, etc. I just wish they focused on customers and recognize their norm of 20-50 minutes in line doesn’t encourage customers want to open new accounts. Take care of ALL your customers! This location is disappointing and I would not be surprised if it closes in the coming years.

It is impossible to reach this branch (Oberlin Road) by phone. I'm SO glad Bank of America is not my bank!

Admittedly, slightly angry & impulsive rating as Iv never been to this location b4 today... however, this is the 3rd BoA ATM Iv visited in the past month that won't accept deposits?? What, are we this Fu*k'd after COVID that cash deposits are now too much to handle for our financial institutions? DEPOSITS AND WITHDRAWALS SHOULD BE AN INCLUSIVE RIGHT OF BANKING CUSTOMERS! Get it together.

If I could give a zero I would, the most terrible bank ever. I was a dedicated member since 2010 to 2022. I was hospitalized for almost half a year. While I was in the hospital boa put a hold on my account. I didn't owe anything they sent me to the creditors for 0 dollars. They wouldn't allow withdrawals only deposits. So when I came out the hospital all my disability money was deposited but I couldn't use my money. My family and I called and went to different branches but they wouldn't release the money. Come to find out they had a cashier from the window handling my account which is not his job he messed up my account. I had to borrow money from family and friends for a couple months, mind you I can't work because I was in head on collision from a wreckless driver. Also they charge 12 dollar maintenance fees, so no withdrawals but they can charge 12 dollar maintenancefees. I removed all my funds and closed my account.

No tellers for simple deposits. Multiple people waiting in the lobby with no acknowledgement.

Imagine how easy you think it should be to change your billing address, and then compare it to the incompetency of BOAs employees and you'll also wish there was a 0 star option

I've come here twice now and have been greeted immediately upon arrival and asked what I needed and was guided. Yes they're short handed but who isn't?! In this day and age when most branches are closed, I'm happy they're open. I'll be coming back again.
