Just opened it a month ago and already hating it. Seriously reconsidering switching again even though it’s a pain to get my direct deposit set up. This bank holds check deposits for 2 weeks!!! The teller told me it’s a Wells Fargo check so basically if any business sends you a check that’s not Truist it will take 10 days. I was told 8 days and my app shows a delay (even more than the 8th day). Tried to use their app to deposit a check and I don’t know if the app is not calibrated to accept business sized checks but the stupid app keeps telling me to move closer which cuts off the check. Not to mention even when I take the picture manually it will not accept and when it finally does it reads it like a kindergartner. It keeps saying the amount doesn’t match what I type in. It’s like this bank doesn’t want to take your money or perhaps they just want to hold it and not give you access to their money. Run from this bank. I’m seriously considering finding a new bank already after this hellish experience. I’d rather go through the headache of trying to set up my direct deposit with my employer than deal with this depositing nightmare.

BEWARE of Bill Pay functionality. It can go out as either a check or electronic depending on what they choose to do that month. This resulted in our water being cut off as we tried to figure out why our Aqua water appeared to be electronically paid but went out as a check that was never received by Aqua. A call to Truist made us realize how inadequate their Bill Pay and C/S is. Moving our account to First Citizens Bank which has excellent Bill Pay system and outstanding C/S

Showed up at the branch at 4:45 to set up a checking account. They told me that they couldn’t help me until the next day, even though there were multiple relationship bankers doing nothing. I asked why. They said it took an hour and that they closed at 5:00. I have multiple business accounts with Truist and none of them took more than :30 to set up. If you want to be walking out the door at 5:00, your business hours should be 9:00-4:30. Horrible customer service. Will be opening up my account elsewhere.

I've been pretty happy with this bank. Their website is good. The staff is pretty helpful. The reason for 3 stars instead of 5 is that they don't offer a notary. All the other banks do. They claim it's for liability reasons. That's not true, because if it were, no one would notarize. Also, all the other banks notarize so they're not concerned with liability. It just sounds like an excuse to me because it's cheaper and easier for them.Also, if they continue to not answer their phone, I'll drop it down to two stars.
