They have always been nice and accommodating. I make reservations ahead of time. This is a small location. But I’d rather come here than RDU. I’ve witnessed customers berating agents here and still agents acted professionally. Kudos to them. 5 star ppl, no doubt.

We are literally driving in circles at this moment looking for this branch. It should be SHUT DOWN! The international branch is as useless as our GPS. They will not connect you to the branch direct and they never answer the phone. We were told it was behind the mall, olee literally CAN NOT find it even if we used Ai satélite intelligence: Not a sign in sight. DO not Use Budget Here ever! Not worth the headache or the wasted gas. It better be in this stupid mall and I hope I calm down by the time I get inside.It was in the mall! And the car is in okay condition and the lady at the front desk made it seem as though I was googling a wrong location. Nah Fam same one only one but 3 different numbers on Google and locations are not specified on two of them. Soooo Google Avis at crab tree mall you might have better luck and they might answer the phone. The cars are parked with multiple cars in the parking garage. The only signage is above the store front inside the mall. Across from H&M if u find H&M you’ll find the store. Any how get what you pay for and hopefully no less. Car is covered on dog hair and smells like men’s cologne and vape.

Date of Rental: Friday, October 13th 2023. Everything said below was CORRECT.The phone number listed is NOT the phone number to the store.The directions to the store are not properly listed (inside mall, down hallway across from H&M, first floor).Rented a Luxury Sedan for 3 days (Fri-Sun), pick up at 1:30pm, paid in full, with insurance, on a valid Credit Card.Upon arrival, clerk said cars were “sold out” and I took too long (but I arrived at 1:28pm???) so they only had a mini van available for an upcharge at $14 per day. I gave in and took the mini van.Upon return, I was charged for 3 extra days + a full tank of gas but I returned it on a full tank of gas resulting in an extra $400 charge. Had to call Budget customer service and prove my correct return + gas (I took a lot of pictures) for a refund. And, there is no drop box for return after 6pm daily. Just stay away.

I have used Budget nearly exclusively for rentals for about 4 years- if this had been my first time using Budget I would probably have never used them again. This location was unlike any Budget experience I've had and is an embarrassment to the company.When I arrived the car I reserved was not available and I was informed that the only option was to upgrade to a full-size SUV however I would have to pay for the upgrade (over $200). I've been upgraded due to inventory many times and never had to pay for it. They recommended that I call Customer Service, which I did, and the rep was emphatic that they needed to upgrade at no expense to me. I put him on speaker with the counter person and she initially said she would not do the upgrade. After being pressed, she responded in a very snarky manner that a car in my rental category had just been returned and they would clean it and make it available. When I got in the car it was obvious that it had not been cleaned- dog hair all over, windows smudged and dirty, straws on the floor, and a dirty trunk.If you use Budget, do not use this location- avoid it at all costs.

Should have known these people are rude based on the reviews. We booked a rental online and when we got there, not only was there no car available, the lady at the desk was extremely rude. Don’t waste your time booking here. Either the car won’t be available or the service will be rude, or both, like it was in our case.

This location WILL NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE, All calls go to the 1-800 number. I reserved my vehicle, took an Uber there ( by the way, it's extremely difficult to find, it's underground), and went to check in. The girl at the counter, goes behind the curtain (like the wizard of Oz, so you know something is wrong). When she returns, she tells me they do not accept same day reservations, and told me she wouldn't locate me another car or office, because they don't do that either. When I asked how we could rectify this, I guess that word confused her, she said "huh, I don't know"... I called reservations again, the phone prompts are ridiculous, they said they wouldn't do anything either, this took 3 calls!!! By the way, reservations are handled by a US office, everything else goes through a call center in India, where I talk to a Martin, and a Carlos, LOL I went to enterprise, got a car immediately... moral of the story, trust the review ratings!!!

I was charged a $250 deposit when I picked up the car. I had called ahead and told them Snowball would be coming with me on the trip. She told me there would be "a charge" if there was fur in the car.The car ran well, no troubles there.Upon return, I tried to vacuum the car, but the vacuum died, and I could not get it to restart. Rather than be late and be charged an extra day, I took the car back. I was able to get all of fur out of the car, but the driver seat and floor. I DO realize that's still part of the car.When the lady came in, she said the charge was $450! No one ever said it'd be that much. I know, I didn't ask the charge, and I assumed it would be the $250 deposit because I told them I'd have a dog several times.I asked if I could take the car back, and vacuum it, she snapped that I'd still be charged the $450.One of the ladies was nice during checkout and return. The other, I just spoke to, at return, was rude before she even went out to look at the car.(She was also disrespectful to the man who didn't know if you rent after a certain time the day before , it's up to availability. She also fussed at the man who returned his car the same time I did. Maybe she needed coffee?)I understand I should have been charged, but I didn't know it would be $450. I also understand I didn't ask, but someone should have notified me of the amount b3fore i signed for the car. Keeping it an extra day would have been cheaper than the fur fee, and I could have had time to go to another vacuum. I did read my rental agreement, nowhere did it show a fee for pets.I did learn an important lesson from this: get any fee in WRITING. No, I obviously don't recommend this Budget branch. I'll take responsibility for my part, but not the actions and rudeness of the worker. I wouldn't send anyone there and have them run into her- as a company representative, not a chance.

I actually rented from Budget at this location, but I doubt that the experience would have been very different since they seem to operate as one business.Anyway, EVERYTHING about this rental with the exception of the car itself (which was fine) was underwhelming!First, they didn't have the car that I reserved. Second, I needed something with a hatch back (since I had a big cardboard box to carry with me that wouldn't fit in a sedan's trunk) and they tried to put me in a sedan.When I told them that wouldn't work, they told me that the sedan was the only car that they had available and that I should at least go and look at it. Which I did and it wouldn't work. So, I called the 800 number to see if they could help.They told me that since the contract had been opened, that they couldn't help me; that I would have to deal with the location.So, I went back in and told the lady, who couldn't have seemed to care less about my issues, that the sedan wouldn't work, she miraculously came up with a Ford escape...which worked fine.They told me that the car had a full gas tank, which it didn't.Also, when I wanted to add an additional driver (my son who rents from them all of the time) they insisted that he come in with me to show his driver's license. When I told them that I would be picking him up in a different city, they insisted that we go to a local location to show his drivers' license.....this was ridiculous! He rents from them frequently and they have his information on file. We offered to email a copy of his drivers license and they said no! It was against their corporate policy...I say BS!Anyway, the location looked Ghetto and the clerks did the bare minimum that they had to do...overall, not a very good experience!

This place is the worst. First, finding the place is a total mystery. If you call them they are too busy to give you any direction whatsoever. If you make it to the place, do not expect any customer service or even a person at the counter. If someone finally shows up, they would not show a happy face to you. In fact, I see why these people hate their job. Of course my reservation was not taken into account, they offered me a sports car Camaro, which is for two people only. I have to say that is not what I booked. I preferred an economy Toyota Camry and all they got to say is we are sorry, it’s not our fault. That’s what happen when you rent cheap.

I had a pre-paid reservation, but this location did not have a 7 seater vehicle which I had booked, they did not call me early as well, they asked me to go to Budget location at RDU airport, after standing in line for more than hour at Budget airport location, person at counter say I have to call customer care & change my pick-up & drop location, another 15-20 min to reach customer care & customer care says they cannot change the location for the 7 seater vehicle since RDU airport location has no 7 seater availability, Person in-front of me in line took 7 seater vehicle, I think no sync between Customer care Inventory & Inventory at particular location. no use of pre-paid booking, I will never come back to this budget location again!

Only come here because it is the only location close to me. Every time it is an issue. Even with reservations they won’t have your vehicle available. I made a reservation six months in advance and there were no vehicles available. Gave a different customer in the lobby a vehicle with a cracked front windshield and told her to take a picture of the damage and it was fine to drive but the crack was in the field of vision - this is illegal! The car they tried to give me was full of dog hair, beach sand, FOOD and crumbs everywhere. The vehicle hasn’t been washed since brand new. I asked for a different vehicle which had bumper damage. I had a time stamped photo from the parking lot and they still tried to charge me. I will now be paying the fees at the airport to avoid having to deal with these employees.

I would like to be that 1 review that puts everyone’s mind at ease. I honestly don’t see how this place has so many bad reviews. I’m starting to think it’s the buyers being difficult and not the seller. I had absolutely no problems reserving the vehicle or picking it up. I reserved my vehicle 2 months in advance. Any information that was needed I completed online. When it was time for pick up me and my family were literally in there 10 minutes. They already had our information (license #, insurance, card info) online which was a plus for us making the transaction super easy for both parties. Hint: they like when you’re already prepared. You may not have the same experience as I if you try doing same day booking and pick up due to there cars selling out fast. It wasn’t hard to locate if you’re familiar with Crabtree valley mall. Turn into the side where macys is located. Drive down until you see the H&M sign which is located outside of the building and not hard to find. Walk into those doors and budget is located directly to the left and soon as you walk through the doors. I hope this helps. Truck was very clean in inside. Needed a little spray on the outside but still very nice. Will be renting through them again.

Literally The worst car return experience ever! They do not explain to you that their location is inside the mall, so I was driving around for almost 1 hour confused.Just fyl it’s located on the same side as H&M once you go in the doors, the counter is to the left. Park the car anywhere in the parking lot. On level one. Such an inconvenience to not tell people where exactly you are located.Make sure you leave early I honestly feel like this is how they get people for late returns because it’s easy to get lost looking for the location. They give a 30 min grace period and then you are charged another day. Budget update your instructions for the sake of your customers. I will not be renting here ever again!!! The worst!!
