Tim Johnson's Art of Fashion 2024 showcase contured designers locally and nationally. I am familiar with Lillian of Noshona Boutique because I patronize her clothes and jewelry from Tanzania. I prefer boutique designs because they are unique, and you don't have to concern yourself of 20 people with the same outfit as you. I love boldness and being unique which sets you apart!

I wanted to come see some art while visiting and they were having a market where you needed to pay. I don't mind supporting local artists but feels weird to pay and you can't even go see any work on display. Any local art market I've visited or sold my work in was free to the public since they're the ones coming in to buy work, it was also extremely hot and needed to be cleaned towards the back becuase there was a strong smell. We had checked the website prior to coming and didnt see anything about paying for a market but guess we should've asked if the galleries were still open at least.?♀️

Cool building for markets. The AC doesn’t work great. It’s hot inside.

Very uncomfortable exhibit at the end, idolizing the KKK and oppression/persecution of POC, homosexuals and anything left winged. It's description will promote otherwise but it is pretty clear what the artist (Jenny Eggleston)'s message was. I was taking my 13-9 year old baby cousins here and it took us about 2 minutes to leave very traumatized. I know art is free and a question mark but children should not be allowed to in this exhibit or it should be removed. And overall the art was outright disturbing to view as a black queer woman who IS A FAN of Francis Bacon. Go figure.

Classy venue with fantastic, modern Art exhibits. I modeled in a runway show here recently, and thoroughly enjoyed the modern take on Disney Princesses. We even did a photoshoot in and around the exhibit. Def a must see if you are in the area or live in Raleigh.

Fun space for thought-provoking art. For a contemporary museum it uses antiquated language in its signage - “handicapped” is not needed, just accessible…hoping staff will see this and make a change to be less ablest.

Love this museum but they need to put a sign out front when they close early for private events.

Wonderful local contemporary art space. It is a bit small but, the space is very intimate and allows for a lot of contemplation and conversation. I definitely enjoyed the experience. Located downtown so parking can be a bit tight at times. Definitely worth a visit if you want to engage with some interesting works in a wonderful local space.

I really liked the CAM. I suppose you should check to see what they have on exhibit before going, but then again, it is free. So why not just go any way. The building itself is very inviting, and they have an abundance of comfortable seating, making it a great space to take a break from the heat and enjoy some art. I was there for around a half hour, and I was happy I stopped by. I wish I had got some pictures of the interior.
