My husband and I recently ordered takeout from here. My husband's bimimbap was amazing and my sushi was delicious.Dietary restrictions: I needed my sushi to be prepared separately from any raw fish.

Went in to order takeout. Restaurant is set up strange and the takeout window is in the middle of the restaurant, not clearly visible. I walk up to the window and there is a younger girl sitting there on her phone, didn’t even look up to acknowledge me. At that point I felt like I should leave but decided to order anyway. There was only 1 table in the restaurant and my food was quoted 25 minutes. They charged 0.50 for spicy mayo which is fine but the cup I received was less than half full and barely enough for 1/2 of a sushi roll. Sushi rolls were bland, nigiri was chewy. Out of the 3 rolls I ordered, only one of them was decent. Definitely disappointed. Spent $50 and threw out most of it.

This was our first visit to Carolina Sushi and Roll. The food was so good!!! My daughter and I both picked the pick 2 special and had some tempura, as well. The tuna and salmon were so fresh! My 9 year old ate tofu...so that was a win :-)The service was excellent! Everyone was so friendly and polite. Will definitely be coming back soon!

I'm not sure WHY the chef was being difficult when I ordered a Lunch Bento box teriyaki chicken. It literally comes with Chicken, rice, and soup. This man was very upset I ordered two bento boxes, and told his wife it would take him OVER 40 MINUTES to cook teriyaki chicken. The restaurant only had two people inside, and one of them already had food. Chicken doesn't take that long. I'm 100% sure their rice would have already been made. Same with the soup. So I'm not understanding why it would take FOURTY MINUTES to make a chicken bento box??They close for business at 2pm. I came to order around 1pm. So essentially, the food I ordered wouldn't be ready until just before they closed. I'm not sure what you(reading this) define good customer service as, but I'm pretty sure I got TERRIBLE customer service as this establishment basically refused my money by not out right saying it, but by giving an UNREASONABLY ridiculous time frame for food that takes only minutes to cook. The wife seemed like she was trying to encourage him to make my order faster, so he told her fine, he'd make my bento box in 30 mins; still an aggresiously long amount of time for 'LUNCH' food. I personally will not patronize this restaurant ever again. I'm usually not one to say, 'Oh, because of the color of my skin,' but I think we all know chicken cooks in 10-15mins, so slapping a 40min time frame on SIMPLE food makes me believe my business simply was NOT wanted. And thus, I obliged and left.

I do not normally review my experience at places in a negative way but this was a solid, three star. I am going to write this review though. I brought a friend out to lunch and while I was waiting, I ordered some sake, but they do not have an alcohol license so there is no sake available or any other alcohol the lady told me. That was fine, so I ordered some green tea, the green tea came in a mason jar with a handle. OK that’s fine, there are many great reviews on this place so I started looking at the menu which looked very confusing and had a lot of cream cheese in the sushi rolls. I ordered some vegetable tempura and that came and it was fabulous. My friend ordered a deep fried sushi roll which she had never heard it before and she ordered another roll and I ordered a sushi roll with spicy tuna. My friend had a sprite. I ordered some rice and the waitress suggested sushi rice, but it wasn’t the sticky rice, it was mixed with some very tiny, minced things and spices, we couldn’t pick up the rice, with chopsticks. We were there for quite a while and the waitress told us she needed to check out so we figured that she was done with her shift. She said we could stay as long as we wanted. Another guy came in and told us to leave and that they close at two. we gladly left and did not want to inconvenience them. $80 later we were on the park bench visiting in front of the restaurant. I just don’t know what to say and I’m sorry to do a bad review.

The Hurricane Roll was awesome! This restaurant was an incredible find while I was out and needed a quick lunch in a different area of Raleigh. Will drive the half hour to come back, hopefully soon!

This place is amazing and we have been going to them for YEARS, back to when they first started at their old location! My personal favs are their Volcano and Carolina rolls, omg! The food is fresh, and so wonderful!SO many things to try and all have been so good to us all! And SPECIALS!You can order half price rolls ALL the time, check the weekly specials!!You can try a new one each time, paying only half!! Their house made ginger dressing for their salad is SO good! I also love their Yammy Shrimp and daughter loves the vegetable Tempura and Baked Crab roll. My work friend LOVES his Bibimbab and Teriyaki Plate and I have to say I do, too!Its a cute little place and we like the ambiance if you eat in; can meet friends or family and really enjoy! The 2 main people running it are wonderful. We moved a lot further away so we often pick up or have delivered if cannot.Tonight we have a small celebration, so my son and I are having it deliveredand cannot wait!!! Do yourself a favor and relax and eat from there!! Unlessyou are just a grumper, I know you will enjoy! - Joanna

Pretty basic sushi. Not good, not bad. Just as average as average can get. I will definitely keep searching for Better places in the area. The wings are Korean style. Lots of batter like tempora batter and super crispy. It's hard to find the chicken inside. Went during lunch, it wasn't fast service. Was late going back to work.... Bummer.

Ive visited this restaurant a few times and for the most part, they were pretty good. My reason for the two stars is that: 1) they take too long to make the food. There may be two tables with guests and you will not get your food for about 30-45 minutes. 2) Their hours of operation are not accurate. I visited the restaurant around 7:30 pm and was told that they were no longer seating guests as the cook was leaving soon. This place is open whenever it's convenient for the owner, not the customer or hours indicated on their front door. I thought this restaurant was going to be my favorite tempura spot but it's not by a long shot.
