I've been banking at Coastal since 2007, using them for auto and home loans, as well as a credit card. The manager at this branch is awesome and is very involved in the community. Yes, they moved tellers out of the branches but now we have teller banking seven days a week. Good luck meeting with a bank teller on a Sunday afternoon. If you compare rates, you'll find that Coastal charges very fair rates on their loans and the interest offered on my checking account is unmatched at any other institution. It's no wonder so many in the Triangle bank with them. My son just opened his account last year and has already been helped reversing some fraud charges out of Europe. I can't say enough good things about them. If you're looking to place your money with a local, trustworthy bank, Coastal is your best choice.

I always get worst customer service with this bank. I could no log in several days to pay my loan payments. Look 2 different people to get my account unlock. At first they were blaming on my internet. But it was their update that cause problem. After call I found out it really a side company call red door and they always are bad with getting computers to work from past time dealing with them on other jobs

Terrible customer service. Getting a auto loan with them was a nightmare, I closed my accounts and now do my business elsewhere. I highly suggest you stay far away from these nut jobs.

Do not finance with them. If you sell your vehicle privately, the new owner will not be able to get tags for the vehicle even when paid for by a certified check. they say up to 4 weeks for the title to be released and DMV wont do anything since the title is not released.

Can't get anyone to pick up the phone to answer a banking question. Not cool.Update 1/5/23 - received call from CU. She was very nice, apologetic and helpful. Can't ask for more than that. Thank you for reaching out.

Unbelievably inconvenient. Terrible communication. Poor digital options.I am planning a wedding and, to add to the stress, I misplaced my debit card. After looking for it for a while, I set up an appointment on the app to get an instant issue and re-issue my debit card to me. They called me 9 minutes before they closed the day before my morning appointment to tell me they were not an instant-issue branch. I had waited 3-4 days for the appointment when I could've just called and reordered. Secondly, when I did finally call to reorder, there are NO options to use your card before it arrives AND there was no offer to expedite it because of the inconvenience I had been put through by poor handling and customer service. Probably my first and last credit union I will put my money with.

Please save your money and choose elsewhere. The faulty teller machines often miscount your money and when they do the teller will claim they can't give the money back, can't cancel the transaction and STEAL YOUR MONEY. This lead to $1000 being stolen from me in the middle of a global pandemic when I already lost work. I was lucky to have someone gift me cash to help me and my bank I trusted STOLE it from me. Save yourself the tears and stress. PLEASE

Horrible customer service. Mask required. Costal caves to tyranny. I closed out my account and moved elsewhere. We do not subscribe to Gov Cooper’s illegitimate order.
