Mr. Nader the shuttle driver at Dollar/Hertz is probably the employee of the year! Long story short, the returns gate is open at 4 Am the earliest. A piece of information I was unaware of (I assumed all airport car rental locations are 24hrs). My flight was at 5 AM and I was freaking out on what I shall do with the rental, with long lines at the TSA I would miss my flight! Till my hero Mr. Nader who is about 30 minutes early to his shift showed up and allowed me in through the gate, took the rental in and drove me to the airport from the rental location when his shift hasn't even started. It's the little things like this that take an organization a long way. The world needs more of Mr. Nader. Please promote him

Y'all complain about bad service and quality but don't realize that you get what you pay for. Cheap prices = bad quality. Stop expecting the most out of things that are so cheap smh

My sister is currently stranded along the side of I-95 in an attempt to return home from a business course. The initial car from the company had a loose wheel bearing, causing her to turn around and select another car. This car has what seems to be a radiator hose issue or a similar problem, as she heard a pop after which the engine overheated and all the coolant leaked out of the car. She is waiting in a phone queue, presumably of all the other customers with cars in need of repair. This is extremely disappointing service, as it seems they do not make a priority of keeping these cars in safe working condition.

do not rent from this place the mgr here is the worse very rude rent my car through priceline to rent a car to visit my grand kids in upstate ny paid for it up front my with my debit card get to the counter the wich of a mgr very rude told me that the policy was change that day 4-1-2021 ok that fine i book on the 27th so my car rental should gone through but of corse it did not not so i did not get my money back or a rental now i am in a dare of not seeing my grand kids for easter i would say the get -10 rating worse renter place ever

Total scammers. Charged $533 per day for a last minute reservation for a mini-van. Did not have the minivan model advertised. Switched to an SUV for an additional $75. Used a toll road and racked up $4.00 in tolls. Dollar charged the $4.00 and tacked on $80 in "service fees." Never again!!

Miscommunication with clerk and unknowingly charged for pre-paid fuel. HQ supervisor of dollar rental did not want to give back a refund based on the staff error. Bad business.

Horrible experience - I recommend all stay away. When I checked in the gentleman with all of the jewelry was very rude and condescending. He asked me if I wanted additional insurance coverage, I said no. Although I rented a premium car they took a lot of money as collateral - I am not 18, rather 45. When I returned the car, I noticed a $159 per day for additional coverage - I was VERY clear I did not want that. They also tacked on emergency roadside service for $39 a day. I was never asked about that and already had that covered as well. So, the three day rental had an extra $654 in unnecessary incidentals that I said I did not want.I asked to speak to a manager and she might have been worse than the desk guy. She could care less and said a few words and walked away.If you are looking for a rental car at RDU, please do not go to Dollar as they will intentionally rip you off and there is noting you can do about it.

The staff was very nice, from phone agent, shuttle drivers, rental agent to exit agent. I was running late night and they asked me my flight # to make sure i was the one they were waiting on. My car was very nice and even smelled good(ford fiesta). The only draw back was that it was confusing returning my car because signs were seperating dollars/ thrifty from the hertz lot but i had to return it to the hertz lot(was no dollar/thrifty lot). Also the website said the pre-hours airport shuttle didnt run until 7am but thankfully it was running. I recommend them.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! We scheduled, and paid for, our rental 41 days before our planned trip. We indicated every step of the way that we DID NOT want the additional insurance coverage or any road side assistance, since we have all that coverage with our regular car insurance. We signed our paperwork and off we went. Turns out we WERE signed up for the additional insurance AND emergency roadside assistance and they would NOT credit us back! An extra $250.00 later....... they got us coming and going!

This is the worst rental car place I have ever been to. They have you drop the car off without giving you the receipt. I made it all the way to the airport and they said I got a $300 smoking fee when I don't even smoke. I've been on the phone all morning trying to get this handled. I told them I could provide proof that I had surgery and I couldn't smoke even if I wanted to. But they don't want to hear anything they just want to rip me off. Please do not use this company.

4th official time using Dollar as my go-to car rental service. The cars are always clean and well-maintained and the customer service is always helpful and friendly. On top of all that, the prices are incredibly cheaper than all of the big name rental car companies. Why go with them when you can get great service with Dollar at a much lower rate?!

To the person who works here and took my AirPods (I can track them on a map silly goose it also shows when they pair to a new phone it’s 2020 ). I came from San Fran and haven’t been feeling well, my ears have been gooey all weekend. Hope you sanitized them first...

Service was quick. Was in and driving away in the rental in less than 15 minutes. Staff was friendly and helped direct me towards the highway. Dropping off the rental was just as fast and easy.
