I have been a patient at Family Medical Associates of Raleigh for over 10 years. Although several of my doctors have left for other career paths, each time they have left me in the hands of another great caregiver. I see Alan Colvin, PA currently at this facility and I am most satisfied! He and his nurse assistant, Sareeta, give me the best care!

I was shocked to discover crucial details about my medical history was missing from my chart. Instead, I faced redundant questions, highlighting a lack of knowledge. Worse, I was assigned a Family Nurse Practitioner, Sara, instead of the promised doctor, leading to a lack of continuity in care. When I raised concerns, Sara was defensive and even suggested I leave. Dr. Flick later spoke condescendingly, implying my concerns were causing practice delays. This experience left me feeling dehumanized and disrespected, underscoring a lack of importance given to my needs as an African American female.

This doctor's office is excellent for an autoimmune disabled person like myself as they take utmost COVID precautions. They are prompt, responsive, kind , courteous and are very good about my ESA dog(pic attached) Captain. I'd recommend this doctor's office to anyone with added health requirements like myself.

Dr. Carr didn't seem like he cared much about my issue or had any way of helping other than throwing prescription drugs at the problem. The antibiotics gave me horrible side effects and he tried telling me to take anti-depressants for a year. The whole interaction felt really flippant and as if he had better things to do. He then sent me to a specialist who did not help either. I am still in pain to this day and these are the people I depended on when it came to my health. I didn't expect much from allopathic medicine but this is just sad.

Excellent care and concern. I have been going to this practice over 20 years, and will tell you they have walked with me through some critical situations, taking the lead in getting the right tests, follow up, and medications. Many of my family are now part of the FMAR team. I say team, as they treat their patients as your care is of the utmost importance; and we are a team. Thanks to their expertise, I have experienced diagnostic situations that were persued until a treatment plan was in place. Great staff!

Dr. Jennifer Jo is phenomenal! I am so grateful for her. She is compassionate and professional. Her staff is exemplary! I’ve just moved here and honestly I was so nervous to find a new primary care physician! I do not feel that way anymore

The doctors here are WONDERFUL, my 1 star review is not about them but about the center itself. It is September 2023. I have been to DOZENS of doctors offices, hospitals, surgery centers, and urgent cares since the covid restrictions have been lifted. I have traveled all over the country. The ONLY place where a company is still abusing its workers and patients by requiring a mask to be worn is this place. There may be others, but good luck finding them as I called all over the state and in parts of the country, nobody but this place continues this lunacy. There is no mandate. They have chosen this course while much more experienced surgeons and doctors locally and nation wide have lifted the requirement due to its absurdity. If you want to go to a draconian place, go here. Otherwise stay clear.

Being going here for years I’m now 25 years old and the way this office has gone down hill dramatically! I do not recommend this office to new patients or existing. A Colvin, told me that I needed to “get over” the disrespect I faced at the hands of his office staff and assistant in order to “move forward” then tried to ask me if I wanted a “new doctor” instead of handling office staff. Very unprofessional and becoming run down.

I was in excruciating pain this year. Dr. Flick was instrumental with me getting a diagnosis. He sent me to correct specialist. His experience called the right diagnosis! Fantastic team to have in your corner! Nurse Ashley speaks to me with Empathy. She always returns calls promptly and makes every office visit as pleasant as possible by simply Listening. Thank you
