This is the Premier Asian supermarket in the Cary region. It has a good variety of Chinese, Korean, Thai, Japanese, and Vietnamese products. It also has a nice food court with quick service and a family oriented ambience. Overall, it's a great place to stop by!

Has been a few months since I been to the GAM, I happen to be in the area, so I stopped by for a little. Bad attitude as usual. This time is the cashier #8 register and her bag girl (Dec/9).

The good: They have live fish tanks where you can usually find fresh striped bass and tilapia. They also have fresh live lobster, blue crab and dungeness crab. Seafood and other foods like duck breast etc. are priced better than many chain grocery stores. When it comes to Asian food selection I'd give it 5 stars. Fresh cooked chinese food, a small bakery and a good fish station. The bad: The smell of fish is overwhelming throughout the store. Half of the fish are fresh and the other half have milky eyes, a sign of old fish. The corridors are pretty tight while shopping. Floors are somewhat dirty. Store is old and could use some updating for a nicer shopping experience. Parking can sometimes be a long walk as this store is often very busy. Shopping carts are small.Bottom line - I shop here often for the fresh seafood and huge selection of Asian staples but that fish smell. Wow! LOL! ????

Hi, On 10/14/23 I bought 3 rice buddings with price $4.5 x3. All of them can not eat, they turned bad. Yesterday, 10/31/23 I bought 1 rice budding with price $4.5 again. It's still bad even though I asked your staff when it is expired date? Because there is no exp date label on product. The staff said it's fresh. But it's still bad. Why do you guys sell the food turn bad for customers? I'm really disappointed and unsatisfied.

This place is OG. Feels like I'm in a Time Machine. Such cool food, fruit, and unique options you can't find anywhere else.

Great fish and seafood selection. For a market with such a small footprint Grand Asia Market has a great selection of items. Plus their bakery and their food court is always a must visit after shopping there.

At the food court, I got the Duck and pork BBQ with rice. I was disapointed that i received only secondary carcass duck parts mostly bone and skin when other people got prime duck parts. There was plenty of pork bbq meat on the left of the plate but the duck was only bony parts. The customer before me ordered the same dish twice to go. The employee who chopped the duck gave him all the prime parts. Then when my order came he "made do" with the secondary duck parts that were left like the bony tail and the boney back spine. On the picture it looks like i had some bits with good meat but really not. I wouldn't complain if this was one of their regular priced dish but you pay +$5 to get the duck. The taste was excellent though so it's really only an issue with that employee. Because of this i make sure to write a review and i hope the management reads this. I could have walked back to the counter and told them about the problem, but the counter lady had minimal english (if any) and i didn't want to ruin my lunch with negative pressure of asking for the manager. But that would have been better for them, because now this review will stick and hundreds of people will read this. That guy thought he was getting away with giving me secondary parts when i paid the same as the next guy. Now he is costing the restaurant hundreds of lost customers. I still give three stars because the dish was very good but left me slightly hungry.

I love coming to this market. The selection is greater and more varied. The meat and live fish are simply above par.And let's not forget the on-site restaurant , bakery and dumpling shop, as well as , the cookware and gift shop.If there is a unique and essential ingredient needed for a new recipe you want to try , you can most likely find it here.Stop in and just look or try something fresh to-go , you won't regret it.

My opinions, and experiences * I love it when everything in this store is stocked, and organized. * I loved their hotdogs in their bakery. * I love the seafood section, and my favorite is the salmon.

I was having a hard time looking for an asian market in the area and suddenly found this place. It has everything I need, from vegetables, fresh seafood, snacks, fresh meat and condiments. Prices were reasonable and they have great selection of asian good. I would definitely going back.

Has a wide variety of oriental groceries. Some of the imported items are pretty pricey just to inform everyone in here. Their service is pretty straightforward like every other store. If you really care about the ambiance it's not an eyesore. This place isn't dirty just kinda of overstocked with some items. The smell for those who maybe interested, is not too overwhelming (these are to the non Asian Americans). Don't worry not being a @$$ here I'm just stating that some may think differently about the surrounding area. They do have their own little savory / pastries area. Where you can buy food or refreshing condiments. I hope this helps. If you're wondering I normally go here since I grew up in an Asian culture household.

This review is for the small food court at the entryway. Note that prices for most dishes, including the lunch box (which includes 2 sides and rice or noodles) are now about $11.99 as of this writing, up from $9.99 previously. I saw that everyone got the lunch box, which seems to be the best value and option as you get generous portions and the food looks good.We got the Beef Noodle Soup, which I would not recommend at all. It was covered with this layer of what tasted like old grease, and only had 4 small pieces of meat. The majority of the dish is just cheap noodles and the oily broth (usually I like drinking the broth, but this one was nasty and oily and not drinkable). Definitely hard pass on this item.
