I have been taking yoga classes from Graham since 2010. She is not only highly skilled, but also intuitive, thoughtful, and patient. Iyengar yoga involves utilizing props as needed to achieve proper alignment in the poses. This allows students who may have physical limitations or injuries to realize the benefits of the pose in the body. Since practicing Iyengar yoga, I’ve learned that allowing my body to remain in properly sequenced poses for several minutes with adequate support and alignment is very beneficial. I now have better posture and body awareness which has improved my overall well-being.

Graham is the best yoga instructor I've ever had. I started yoga with her in 2008 due to my scoliosis and back pain, and since then have taken classes in a number of different cities, yet have never had a teacher as kind, dedicated, and caring as Graham. Her instruction is straightforward and engaging. She isn't as harsh as some Iyengar teachers I've had. Since I left Raleigh I really missed her, but with the pandemic I have been able to take her online classes and they're great too! If you're even thinking about signing up for her classes, DO IT! She's the best! Thank you, Graham! <3

I have been practicing yoga under Graham since shortly after she opened her Raleigh practice in 2008. Graham has given me tools for a lifetime. With her step by step gentle reminders, I know I’m entering into and coming out of each pose in the correct way. I hear her voice correcting my posture even when she’s not around. She provides alternate poses depending on the physical challenges I’m facing to help me get the most out of my class and to ensure no harm comes to my body. She is an amazing instructor and no one comes close to the structure and setting she offers. I’m forever grateful.

With her 16 years of experience in teaching, she provides individualized instructions for all abilities and her verbal instructions are very clear and engaging. She encourages everyone to bring awareness to the body in alignment with their capacity. I highly recommend Graham's yoga classes to anyone who wants to experience yoga in a safe way and also have fun !

Can't praise this yoga studio enough. I started attending classes in February 2020 as a complete novice to yoga, but it has now become an integral part of my daily life thanks to Graham's amazing instruction. Graham is able to give every single student a very personalized experience that precisely fits their needs, even during online classes. Would recommend this studio for anyone interested in yoga! And sometimes her dog joins the class :)

I have studied Iyengar Yoga with Graham Williams for eleven years and find her to be an exceptional teacher. Graham's passion for Iyengar Yoga is admirable as is her commitment and dedication to her continued learning. Whether in the studio or on Zoom, Graham offers focused instruction so that I always come out of of class feeling more present, integrated, and embodied. Graham has the knowledge to support me through times when I've had various injuries. Her kindness knows no bounds and her sense of humor is lovely! Graham goes out of her way to support students and sincerely wants all of us to have the best possible experience. Her wisdom in managing classes during this Pandemic is masterful. Do yourself a favor and join this yoga studio. Graham is an outstanding instructor and a wonderful person. This is not your typical yoga class at the gym. Lessons are carefully planned and you are working towards specific poses and goals. Definitely recommend!

This is a yoga studio dedicated to sharing the Iyengar method of yoga, an alignment-based prop-intensive form of yoga. There are classes available for all levels of yoga experience. I have done classes in this studio and all necessary props are provided. For over a year, I have mostly done the classes on Zoom because I am in Fayetteville. Graham is a highly trained, incredibly professional and conscientious instructor. I feel that I get as much individual guidance or modifications on Zoom as I get in the studio. I highly recommend Iyengar Yoga Center of Raleigh for your yoga experience!

I have been practicing Iyengar yoga for 15+ years and was so happy when I moved to Raleigh to learn that an Iyengar studio existed. Graham is an excellent teacher, she will work with you if you have any injuries or specific needs. Many of the other students in my class have been attending her classes for a long time and have only positive things to say about her and her teachings. We are very lucky to have her in Raleigh!

I love Graham, I have been taking Iyengar yoga with her for about 6 months. Iyengar Yoga has all the components you are looking for in a yoga class. Graham has been teaching yoga for > 20 years and actually travelled to India to work with this master, (Iyengar) and now continues mastery working with his daughter/or granddaughter. The focus is on whole body, mind and spirit, with learning the asanas one component at a time to be sure you are achieving each pose correctly, protecting yourself from injury while getting the most benefit from the pose. I researched Yoga options for a year and sampled a few before choosing Iyengar. Best Decision Ever. I am gaining strength and mobility after an injury and learning integration of breathing and mindfulness into my practice. Thank you, Graham for bring this aspect of self care to my life! You are a Gift.

Graham is simply amazing! She is professional, caring, and quick to notice if modifications are needed. I found Iyengar yoga after suffering from regular back and neck pain after a car accident. It has been a life changer for me. Having such a knowledgeable Iyengar teacher such as Graham has been invaluable! I highly recommend this studio!

Graham is a wonderful teacher sharing her passion for yoga which makes it positively contagious. Not only does her enthusiasm lift your spirit but her knowledge of Iyengar yoga empowers you as a learner; she also remains active as a student herself so she walks her talk. I highly recommend Graham if you are new to Iyengar yoga and want to learn in a setting in which you will be challenged but will always learn safely avoiding injury. We learn to practice and live our yoga which brightens one’s inner light. I find in life a teacher can simply make anything special; Graham is this teacher. Iyengar Yoga Center of Raleigh's main teacher, Graham, is incredible. I have been a student of hers for years now and feel so lucky to have found her classes. She has helped alleviate my back pain, improve my flexibility, and be more aware of my posture and breath. I often leave class impressed by how well she is able to juggle giving individualized attention to many students while keeping the class moving. Classes with her are fun, relaxing, and challenging (in a good way) in equal measure!

I've been doing yoga with Graham for many years, starting in 2012 when we moved to Raleigh. Back then I was looking for a teacher that can help me with my back problems, to not further injure myself, but keep practicing yoga in a safe and beneficial way. I found her and I never wanted to look further. She is very knowledgeable about yoga asanas, yoga philosophy, and helps you exercise your body but calm your mind, and be present in everything that you are doing. Graham provides multiple modifications and adjustments depending on her students' needs. I was also amazed how well she navigated the classes during Covid. Doing zoom yoga classes is not an easy task but she is doing it great. Graham is engaging, shows and explains very well the poses and how to use all the props, and gives you corrections looking at the small windows on her screen :). Thank you, Graham for all that you do!
