Marbles Kids Museum is located in the heart of downtown Raleigh and serves families, school groups, and community organizations. At its heart is play, with hands-on, minds-on opportunities designed especially for ages 10 and under. The museum features dozens of themed exhibits, summer camps, IMAX films, and special events year-round. The museum is extremely fun and has so much to do for all age groups, with many families calling it their favorite attraction. Exhibits are well laid out and really well done, offering a great amount of entertainment. Visitors can explore a pretend veterinary center, a vegetable harvesting area with a grocery store and cooking area, and a water play section. There is also a giant pirate ship indoor play gym, a quiet reading room, and upstairs areas for older kids including a money room, a building block area, and a wood working section. An on-site cafe offers kids-friendly food. It is highly recommended to purchase advance tickets online for a quick entry process, as the museum can be extremely packed, especially on weekends and after holidays. The experience is very reasonably priced. While most areas are enjoyed, it can be very busy earlier in the day. Overall, it is a great, amazing, and well-organized place where kids have a blast, leading many families to plan a return visit.
