Michaels is a good art supply and hobby store offering a wide selection of everything to create anything. Its expansive craft assortments include popular art supplies, fabric, canvases, yarn, knitting and crochet supplies, frames, floral items, scrapbook materials, beads, jewelry kits, Cricuts, craft machines, and more. The store also allows customers to party plan with ease, providing balloon inflation, party decorations, gift packaging, favors, tableware, and seasonal occasion decor, offering all party supplies in one place. The new Raleigh location is simplified and cleaner, making it easier to walk around and find items. While it carries less than before, the store feels less overwhelming. It is known for having wonderfully helpful employees and very clean facilities. However, some experiences, like a specific tie-dye event, have been disappointing due to an employee who seemed annoyed and made the activity unpleasant. The store offers a wide selection of items, but not always a lot of each, and the online pickup process requires going through the checkout line. Overall, it is a place to unleash creativity.
Fairly well-laid out store. They do move stock around, and have seasonal specials, so sometimes you have to go looking or ask a staff member what you're looking for. But staff is very friendly and helpful.
