Optimist is a City of Raleigh pool that is always super clean and staff is nice. It is open as much as they can despite a staff shortage during COVID. Members say it is one of the best pool in Raleigh, but a renewed membership can lead to disappointment when swimming is not possible in October. They answers all questions and recommend calling before you go.
This location is very clean. I love this swimming pool; it's affordable for Raleigh residents to drop by and swim or practice. The hours are convenient for me as well.

I've been lap swimming at Optimist for years and it's my favorite place. They have expansive hours I can swim and the grounds are very clean and a nice and clean area to change and shower.
