It's just gotten way too expensive, $6 for a can of dog food. There is no real rewards program and not really any sales.

A bit bummed they’re changing their name because it’s SO cute! But absolutely love this store and stop by anytime I’m in town. Great selection of products that aren’t always the easiest to find in stores.

I went to the Atlantic Ave store on Saturday, September 9, 2023, looking for a specific product for my cat. The product was a calming treat that cost $15. I looked the product up online and determined that this store carried it. When I entered the store, I observed three people behind the counter. Two appeared focused on their phones; the third was ringing out a customer. None of the workers acknowledged me. I had not been in this store before and had only been in another location once. I could not find any signs indicating "Cat Food" "Dog Food," or that products were grouped by pet.I saw no other customers in the store. I wandered through the store, trying to determine where I should look. I had written down the product name, so I pulled out my paper and started walking the aisles, looking for the treats. I did pass by the checkout area at least twice during my visit and was clearly visible to the workers as I had left my invisibility cloak at home. At one point, I passed a young man who appeared to be doing inventory. I don't know if he was a store employee; he did not acknowledge me either. I couldn't find the treats, and by this time, I was annoyed that no one had approached me, so I decided I wouldn't spend my money at this store. To leave the store, I had to pass the checkout counter. A young woman, who appeared to be a key holder, came out from behind the counter and nodded at me but said nothing. By this time, I'd had it. I stopped her and said, "I'd like to give you some feedback. I have friends who shop at Phydeax regularly and have been pleased with you. I came into this store looking for a specific product your website said you carried and was in stock. No one has greeted me or asked if they could help me find it. I've decided that I'm not going to spend my money here. By the way, my name is Karen, and while I try not to be one, sometimes I channel "the power of Karen" when I feel it's appropriate." The woman looked at me and said, "Okay, well, it's raining really hard out there, be careful." I truly hope other customers have had a better experience at this store. I will not be back. Awarding two stars as the store was clean and appeared to be well stocked.

A great local store lost to a big chain. No longer selling bulk products, a lot of the natural treats and several hard to find dog foods. My dog has several food sensitivities and the 4 products I could count in Phydeaux for are no longer carried. Nice work, Feeders - we don’t need another PetSmart.

A pretty cool little pet supply store. They have a great rewards program and a lot of variety in what they offer. The staff was very friendly and I had a great time when I visited. Prices were very competitive on pet food and your like 10th bag is free or something.I will say, the name is confusing as you drive by which may be why they are changing the name. Definitely worth a stop!

A large local pet store. They have a friendly staff, plenty of parking, and a lot of items. A bit on the pricey side, so I dropped to a 4.

I have been a loyal Phydeaux customer for years. They were recently bought out by Feeders and it has really gone down hill. Yes the products are good but the service has plummeted. I will no longer be shopping here because of the unfriendly employees. Not all of them have been unpleasant but a majority have been. So sad!

I have regularly used the Cary store and even posted a review how I love the store but the customer service from all but 2 of the employees is not only bad, but rude and unkind. I decided to try the Raleigh store just to see if maybe Phydeaux(now Feeders) hires any kind employees. The ONLY reason I am giving this a 2 star as opposed to a 1 star is because the selection was terrific. That being said, the employees at this store were also pretty unfriendly. They did say "Welcome" when my dog and I walked in but that was pretty much it. One employee followed me around doing inventory or something yet never asked if I was looking for something. The other barely looked at me as we were checking out. Not sure who does the hiring in their stores, maybe the ones they hire can't get a job anywhere else and it's a warm body. I guess I will just continue to go to Cary and only go in if I see the young man in there who is always friendly. Definitely have a great variety of product if you can get past the horrific attitudes.

I loved having a fantastic local pet food store. They beat the prices of the big chains. Alas, they have been sold to a larger company. Pet Food prices have increased quite a bit everywhere,. I hope they hold the line. Nevertheless, the new company ought to adopt the Phydeaux name because that is cool as. The new name is very boring.

We moved to Raleigh almost two years ago & our dog started having digestive problems. He had already been having hip & joint issues & turned 14 this year. We switched him from Blue Buffalo (he had been eating it his entire life & loved it) to Wellness (complete health). It was nice because Phydeaux had samples we could try before making a big bag purchase. This new food had everything our puppets needed (digestive health, support for him & joints, & skin coat health). Thank you Phydeaux staff!

Staff is very friendly and helpful! Very large selection of treats and colors and a wide selection of boutique foods. They even have cute collars and toys that I can't find in many big chain stores
