Raleigh Golf Association offers 27 holes of golf, with 18 public and 9 private holes. The course provides a variety of challenges suitable for all skill levels and is known for being walker-friendly, with minimal distances between greens and tees. The public 18, played from the blue tees, measures 6,088 yards and features a course rating of 68.8 and a slope of 123. The course layout is unique and not too long, making it accessible for less experienced golfers and seniors. Recent renovations have improved the greens and bunkers, though some fairways remain scruffy and greens in rough shape. The course is undergoing further renovation to enhance the overall experience. It can get crowded, especially on good weather days, leading to long rounds that can take nearly five hours. The course's holes are close to each other, so hooking or slicing balls may land on other fairways. While there is no driving range, there are chipping and putting greens. The staff, including the pro shop team, are friendly and helpful, and the course is considered good value for the cost. Overall, RGA is a decent choice for golfers looking for an affordable, walkable course with a unique layout.
No driving range, always seems like there is something being fixed and the course is never 100%. Today the ranger finished his shift and hopped in front of our group with his buddy. They walked and it set us back 20 minutes waiting on them

Played the Stockholder 9 this evening with my wife (the future back 9). Sure the fairways are scruffy, but the renovated greens and bunkers are great. Really enjoyable subtleties to the green sites.
Worth a visit.
