I want to give a shout out to Amanda Bos. It's because of her that I finally got my grandson bank account established. She knew exactly what I needed. She wasn't guessing through the process and this time it was seamless. My reason for giving her a shout out is because I had been to three different credit unions and they all gave me the runaround. The branch on Blue Ridge told me they needed his Birth Certificate, mind you I had been there previously and I was told all I needed was the letter from Social Security. It's a long story too many details, but just know that Amanda Bos on Town Center drive got it taken care of.

I went in to to have a few questions answered about my auto-loan and I had spoken to someone who was clearly in their office at the branch but they did not come speak to me and I ended up seeing a sweet girl, Natalie who was able to point me in the right direction and handled the entire interaction with grace and kindness. I was SO pleased with her, and felt that she really took her time and you can tell she genuinely cares.

This location is not an actual legit SECU it’s a LG-FCU and has its own different website and debit card . Instead of the normal blue color, everything is yellow… Huh???? There’s a huge SECU Logo on the building which is very misleading .
They are part of the SECU family though, like a stepson.
Now they are switching to CIVIC. It’s seems like the stepson is leaving home. I hope they remove the huge SECU Logo off the building.

I have been a member of SECU since 2012. I have gotten personal loans/vehicle loans, and I even have a Credit Card with SECU and NEVER had an issue with paying them. I try to get a small loan yearly in order to boost my credit score and strengthen my payment history with credit union with the hopes reflect a good payment relationship for when I buy a home with them. As I am in progress of trying to renew a loan the branch manager explains to me that I could get an OPEN line of credit instead of making hard inquiries on my credit report every year. I was so ecstatic because NO one has ever explained to me that, that was even an option with SECU. That right there is how you help your customers and honestly, I hope all their employees hop on speaking to their customers who are coming in to get the loans, we trust that you all know how to help us and what we should do in the loan aspect of it. The Branch Manager explained to me how all the loans with credit union work. I am really thankful that someone took a moment and explained that to me because he did not have to. In addition, he was nice, diligent and thorough. Thanks!

Just look at all the other NEGATIVE reviews and you will see there is evidently a HUGE issue at this location when it comes to competency and customer service. I visited this location recently and encountered a loan rep that had a major attitude when I asked for interest rates. She asked me did I have a job! Wait..What? I am withdrawing ALL MY MONEY tomorrow and going to another financial institution!

We opened an account with this branch because we were looking into home loans. The person helping us open the account was lovely. After thought she referred us to Jasmine to speak about loan options. Jasmine had such an attitude and was rude and unprofessional. When we told her what we were there for she basically said well you can find all that on the website. She had NO INTEREST in helping us and basically acted like “what are you bothering me for?”Will not go back to this branch and after all the other comments I’ve read I’d be surprised if this branch is still open in a year. Not with employees like Jasmine.

BE AWARE: Incompetent notary!!!First of all, It was hard for me and my husband to find time to go to the bank during the day. And our time at the bank turned out to be a complete waste! We needed one signature notarized, which we have done TWICE already at the same bank, at the same location! But today a completely incompetent notary told me I couldn't have it notarized. She was adamant when I explained to her that we had gone through this process twice and that DMV requested this. I spent an hour at dmv just to be told to get a signature notarized, then I finally went to the notary, and she did not know how to do her job! WASTED MY TIME WHICH I DONT HAVE! When people do not care or know how to do their jobs, it affects others! This was my last straw with this bank. inconvenient hours ( no Saturday hours), inconvenient, outdated app, money transfers that take up to several days, and on top of that notaries that do not know how to do their job, don't be surprised when people move their funds to better banks!
