About Wake County Animal Center
Wake County Animal Center is a good animal shelter doing righteous and admirable work taking care of abandoned animals. The facility is incredibly clean considering the volume of animals. The people are lovely, with many good people, staff, and volunteers who treat the animals fantastic, providing constant care and cuddles. The process to adopt a pet takes about a day. Visitors are allowed to look at the dogs and can ask to go in the cage to pet them. The website is laid out well for searching by type of pet and gender. Many have had wonderful experiences adopting playful puppies and gentle-natured dogs, as well as cats, and are never disappointed. It is a great place to adopt a new pet.

I have not only adopted from here, but also had to surrender. The place is clean and the staff are attentive not only to the customers, but also to the animals. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a new addition to your family or sadly, if you must part with one.

They made the entire process of adopting a dog easy and cheap! For $95, they spay/neuter, give them their shots, and send you home with a leash!

Staff is knowledgeable and helpful! Facility is clean and the animals are well taken care of. Definitely come here for your next adoption!
