Went to this location today and tried to buy groceries. I went to scan some bread we were getting, but it accidentally picked up the barcode twice. The workers have to scan their card when you remove an item so the worker watching the self checkout lines (cashier 0112) came over. She scanned her card to remove the item for us and asked us why we were removing it. When we told her that it scanned the bread twice, she left without saying anything else. We continued scanning a few more items before she came back and told us to go to a cashier lane. She "wanted to make sure we were getting everything," because we removed one item that got scanned twice. Now keep in mind, we had exactly TWO items left in the cart to scan. Yet this worker made us take all of our items (a whole cart of groceries) to get rescanned AND rebagged. No explanation was given for any of this either. After we payed, the worker simply gave us the receipt and we left. We will not be returning to this location. Save your money and time and go to Walmart or somewhere else.

Don't support food lion they refused to allow an employee wear a mask with us flag Scum bags that enjoy the American dream but refuse to support our flag with pride See below Use other grocery store!!!!! below: "At Food Lion, we have great respect for the American flag. Like many other organizations, we also have policies that guide the attire and conduct of associates in the workplace. As part of our effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to protect the well-being of our associates and customers, we've required associates to either wear reusable face masks provided by Food Lion or choose to wear a different face covering while working. However, all face coverings must adhere to standards set by the company and communicated to each of our more than 77,000 associates. The policy prohibits associates from wearing clothing with writing, insignia or symbols. The dress code is meant to ensure a consistent and professional representation of our associates inside of our stores."

Food Lion in general is understandably not the shopping experience or even at times the quality of Harris Teeter or Whole Foods. But this store hits the mark on customer attention. John has worked at this store for years and always welcomes my wife and young kids with heartfelt kindness and love, asking how we are doing and giving my kids high fives. I've had similar great experience with other employees at this store.

Giving this Food Lion even 1 star is too much. This particular location NEVER has enough lanes open to check out. No matter what time you go you should plan on waiting in a long line. The manager(a middle aged Asian Man) doesn't seem to have a care in the world. Good management would put more cashiers to work and open more lanes. I have visited at various different times and days of week and its always slow with not enough lanes open. Employees standing around. I will not be shopping here anymore.

This Food Lion really took me for a Spin! Came here on Mother's Day to pick up some gift cards and walked out heart broken. I purchased 3 gifts cards which contained $25 Victoria Secrets, $40 belks card, and $40 Kohls. I express to cashier to take $25 Victoria secret card off and too keep the remaining $40 cards. The cashier some how took the $40 kohl's card off and put $40 on Victoria secrets card (Which should have been off). I received the cards and realize everything was off. She later express that I could not get a refund. I express to speak with a manager because I did not understand how I could not get s refund when she messed up my order. The cashier continues and express to manager how she only did what she heard me say which made it seem like I was the one for the mistake. I was suppose to have $40 belks card and $40 kohl's card , but she claims that it was $40 Victoria secrets and $40 belks. I express that maybe she misunderstood the part where I said take the $25 card off which was Originally the Victoria Secrets. The manager did not try to look at receipt or hear me out. He just stated no "Refunds" and that he couldn't help me. I accepted the cards upset that I got the wrong cards for my mom, which was not my fault. My family ate at Nantucket Grill across street, and after 20 min I pulled out receipt and notice that $40 belks and $40 kohl's was on the receipt. I called the Victoria secrets card that the store gave me and the account balance was 0. I went to store and express how I was right and the cashier was wrong. She claimed that she did what I said , but somehow the receipt proved that was a lie. I was not pleased specially after being told my $40 card was thrown in trash (the one that was assumed to be taken away). Very bad customer service and how everything was handled. This store manager should be considerably reviewed. No apology or anything for the bad customer service. It would have been very bad to give my mom a $0 gift card.

Woman who works there got an attitude with me. I was trying to through the self check out lane and I guess she thought I had too much stuff (I only had soda and paper plates) and sent me to a different line. She was completely rude. Won't be going to that food lion again.

While I was shopping, an associate came shoulder to shoulder with me to put stock on the shelf. Did not greet me and had no sense of personal space. This associate did it again in another aisle and placed a cart behind me and stood next to me-essentially blocking me in and would NOT move for me. After this occurred, I noticed the associate talking to another associate about me being in his way in "his aisle." This absolute lack of respect and sense of space was absolutely ridiculous.

This is very close to our house in Bedford so I come here all the time..... only if I need basic things. I've noticed that this store is almost always out of what I need. They almost never have Cremini mushrooms or thinly sliced chicken breasts. Also one time I went for oranges and there were none! I will say that they are a very clean store compared to other Food Lions, and the self checkout is great. Usually if I need to make a big shop, I'll go to Harris Teeter b/c they always have what I need.

What can a person say about Food Lion that probably has not been said many times before. This Food is a good store. The store is clean. There are usually plenty of to use and they are not left scattered over the The parking lot. They obviously have staff to take care of it and I appreciate that. The fruits and vegetables are fresh. Is the selection huge? No it is not but what they do have is fresh and the prices are competitive with other grocers in the area. The sales on items are usually worth the money. Keep your eye out for the sales when you are going through the store as you can find some great bargains during your walk around the store. The lines are never long as the store is well staffed and if you do have a question the stiff is happy to give an answer without the attitude. Enjoy shopping at Food

Nightmare experience in this location today. Customer on front of me didn't have enough money on card to pay for item so she wanted to take it off. Cashier couldn't figure out how to do it because customer paid with two cards. Manager Gerry was busy with customer service customer and took forever to get there. Was little help when she did. I stood there for 20 minutes no one seemed to fix customers problem, such an unpleasant mess. Only one other cashier opened he had big line. Finally I picked up all my groceries and self service guy helped me. Helped was a joke as he couldn't be bothered helping me. What a disaster. No one apologized. I spent all lunch hour on this disappointment.
