Stopped by a little while ago and talked to one of the bankers She was delightful wish I had got her name.Alot better than some of the ones in Greensboro.

First visit to this bank and I was looking forward to not driving back and forth to a SunTrust bank now that it’s changed .i have had nothing but issues since the merge ( no fault of this branch ) . I wanted a cashiers check , the teller firmly told me I would have to pay 10 bucks even after several requests to look at my account and make sure . I have rarely needed a cashiers check but under SunTrust they were always free . I asked several times and frankly I was so aggravated at the mixups that hasn’t happened in the previous months I was ready to give up truist and move my money and I said so . It was just overwhelming at all the bull I have put up with with this bank at other locations during this merge . A teller nearby thankfully heard all this and came over and looked at my account and explained I was eligible to get free checking and free cashiers checks and with a minute or two all was well . The helpful teller explained that this teller I was dealing with was new and learning . I have been new and learning myself in the past so I gave her a pass and a big thank you to the one that did help me . Banking should not have to be so difficult .

Customer service is lacking. Corporate and local. Too much time spent trying to take care of a problem. Never got resolved. Passed back and forth with no resolution.

Worst bank I've ever dealt with. The customer service is horrible in the branch and over the phone. You wait no less than 25 minutes on hold to get transferred again until you get someone that says you need to go to your local branch because they can't help you over the phone. Went in the local branch after months of trying to get issues resolved. Got home and still have issues. We've decided to take the loss from all the fees they've erroneously charged us and go elsewhere with our business account.

BBTI’m truly mortified, hurt and disgusted with how I was treated at the Reidsville BB&T branch. BB&T claims it’s their mission to make the world a better place to live by making the communities in which they work a better places to be. However this was not the case when I visited this branch on 4/29/21, instead I was stereotyped and discriminated against.I requested a certified funds check from my business account to pay my contractor while in the drive thru. When I asked the teller what’s taking them so long, the teller told me she’s looking through my account and begins asking me all types of questions about where my money is coming from. The teller then informed me she needs to call to verify some things. Once she completed her verification she apologized and told me there’s been a lot of fraud in Reidsville but will release my funds. The teller sent me over the certified funds check for me to sign. When I sent the signed check back, the teller apologized again for wasting my time because her branch manager will not allow her to release my funds and asked me to come inside. I’m furious at this point but I remained calm. I was asked to take a seat and wait for the branch manager. JOHN KOLESSAR walked over to me without introducing himself or asking me how he can help me. He walked over to me, held up my signed certified funds check and with an attitude said “ I’m not cashing this” when I asked cash what, because I wasn’t trying to cash a check I was simply requesting a certified funds check using money from my account to pay my contractor. Then John with an attitude replied “ why are you using this bank anyway, you don’t even live here” I’m angry but I remained calm. I told him I’m a Realtor and a Real Estate Investor flipping houses in Reidsville. John replied I highly doubt that with an attitude. I wanted to cuss this man out but it’s not worth arguing with a fool because in this country the color of my skin automatically makes me the bad person and cops would be called as if I’m in the wrong. I told John who I purchased my house from which is a well known investor in Reidsville. John stated “ oh I know him, tell him I said hello . John’s entire attitude changed towards me and then he began addressing me by my first name and finally invited me to discuss my personal information in his office instead of out in the lobby, which should have happened in the beginning. I asked him what is he doing, he replied I’m looking through your account profile asking me all types of questions. He still didn’t give me my check and requested I drive 45 minutes back to the Winston Salem BB&T branch where I started my account and have that branch call him so he can “allow me to do business in Reidsville at his bank”. Crazy Right !I drove to the Winston/Salem branch with my contractor who was looking at me crazy as if I didn’t have the money to pay him. I told the branch what happened in Reidsville. The first thing they said “why are they searching through your account it’s not like you asked for cash, and if so all of your funds have been cleared, and nothing is pending. The W-S BB&T branch employee attempted to review the notes that the Reidsville branch manger added to my account. She stated “ I don’t see anything in here that states as to why they didn’t give you your funds”. Needless to say I was able to receive my funds without any issues. I will be closing my account with BB&T and contacting an equal rights attorney.
