Staff at this facility truly care for their residents! I've had nothing but positive experiences at this facility including interactions with staff to the care delivered for my best friend! She is very happy here!

I was reading the reviews on the facility and have noticed some new positive reviews. I’ve noticed for myself when visiting my relative that things have changed!! I see more smiles and less attitudes❤️

This review and rating is for the change of administration!! Ms. Tanya (I believe is how you spell it) is more attentive and respectful than most. She puts her patients first with all respect and compassion. You can tell a huge difference in the facility. Many “problems” have been fixed and many people have been weeded out!! You can tell she has a strong heart and mind and will do whatever it takes to make this place more like home. I recommend meeting her, her smile lights up a room. Tanya is open to all suggestions and has both ears open when it comes to any information. In the short time she has been back at the facility many residents have been more happy, less stressed, and improving!

Update 8/22/2023I have seen an improvement in this nursing home. They are not perfect but they do listen to us. It looks like the staff is a little more attentive. I will say the call button hasn’t worked in a while. The staff told us that there was an electrical problem behind the wall. My sister has to yell to get someone’s attention. The physical therapy department is amazing my sister loves Bill. He does a great job motivating her.The male worker was moved to a different hall. Please understand that families can’t afford to supply snacks or drinks to the staff. When a staff member ask for something, that patient feels obligated to give it to them. I believe the head person came in to my sister’s room after the incident took place and said, he asked you for it and you gave it to him. Patients are helpless and if they say no, they fear retaliation or receiving not so great treatment by that staff member moving forward. Yes my sister initially agreed to giving him drinks but then things got out of hand and she asked him to stop. She should have never been put in that position to begin with.Old review below. There is a male worker that works 3rd shift mostly, named Daniel, 40's, bald, that openly takes my sister's snacks and drinks, that I supply for her. She was afraid to say anything to this man due to him working mainly 3rd shift and yelling at her once before, when she was in a delirium state due to a chronic infection. She also is helpless and can't walk. There is a female worker that works 3rd shift, named Virginia, black hair with blonde dreads that picks on the patients for pooping their pants. Calls them stinky and belittles them while changing them. Saying, "you are NOT going to break my back!"My sister has screws protruding out of her ankles and cries in pain to me everyday. We found out that she wasn't getting a medication that she needed for pain until 2 days ago. Has the orthopedic surgeon been by there to see this? I have called the head of Nursing to notify her of what is going on, with NO return calls. This is after I spoke with the administrator of the nursing home. The time for sitting back and allowing abuse and neglect in nursing homes and hospitals, has to END. No matter how short of staff you are, let these people go! They have no business working with the sick and elderly. My sister has no voice so I will be her voice.I encourage you to be an advocate for your loved ones.

PLEAE STOP AND READ!!!!If you have a loved ones that is in need of rehabilitation or entering a nursing facility for long or short term needs Cypress Valley is NOT the place you want your loved ones at. The staff is very unprofessional. They neglect and miss treat the patients there has been numerous occasions that meds were not given and said that they were. I’m not one to get on the Internet and bash an individual or a business but Cypress Valley is out of control and someone needs to step in and take action. They are worried about the appearance and the transformation of the building. What they need to be doing is weeding out the unprofessional workers they have, and reevaluate their mission. None of this is hearsay. I have proof of everything that I have mentioned in this review. Pressure sores on patients from not being turned every two hours patients hitting the call button and it’s three hours before someone comes in the room and checks on them. It’s kind of hard to get mad at the employees when the management is just as bad if not worse. Just don’t seem like you would get this kind of care from a facility like Cypress Valley. The staff is stealing food out of patients room. It’s horrible and just unbelievable. Please before you send your loved ones in there just take a visit and go talk to some of the people on A hall and ask them their personal opinion don’t take mine. Hope y’all have a great day and some of these problems at this facility gets the attention it deserves. And yes, I do expect a comment back and it’s gonna go something like oh I’m so sorry about your concerns. What can we do to help change things? Naw it’s to late 6 months now and things have gotten even worse you go and say something to them they take it out on the patient. My mom got confronted by two employees there and threatened her because of one of my family members left a bad review and the workers got mad.Just hope the right person sees this and something is done. ?

I’ve noticed a lot of improvements within the facility from remodeling to positive changes within management and employees. The staff genuinely care about their residents and a lot of the staff go above and beyond when it comes to caring for the residents.

Employees are stealing food and supplies...Seen it with my own eyes loading it up into there cars. Rooms are nasty, smells of urine throughout the halls, shower area is filthy, wheelchairs backed up at doorways which is a fire hazard, food is nasty..maybe due to the good stuff being stolen. Staff just sits around not doing nothing even when you are waiting for assistance...the old folks that are long term are in distress and don't even know what's going on or can do nothing about it. I feel bad for anyone that has to stay here. 0 star's

Ok this place discharged my dad telling others that he is self efficient, since he's been home he has fallen gotten a black eye bumps on his head. This doesn't sound self efficient to me or my family. Not only did the social worker discharged him but forgot about half of his home health equipment. Well my dad got discharged today and nobody called to inform me. I have POA healthcare and I should have been notified. I tried to call my dad for over 2 hours, then I reached the nursing staff and that's when I found out. This nurse was really rude n hateful she did not give me her name. They have a lot of work to do in this nursing home starting with the director and social worker and admissions office. Well I have to admit I said something that I shouldn't have and now I have to follow the rules put in place, which I am on this matter the nursing home is doing their job. The staff is intimidating my dad Roger Baker about going anywhere with me and my aunt. The only time I get a call back from the director Michael Weaver is about taking down this post. Well needless to say that's not going to happen. Residents only get bathed 1 times a week. Not being able to find a nurse or CNA or aide to get new oxygen tank. Director Michael Weaver is rude and gives out confidential information to others without permission from someone who has POA healthcare of a resident. My dad has been in this facility for 6 months and me his daughter the only visitor he gets. His wife lives 5 miles away n won't come see him. Trying to get someone in the business office or admissions to answer the phone is impossible trying to leave a message to get a response is unheard of. My dad is sleeping on a mattress that has a hole in it for the past 6 months trying to get that has been impossible. Been trying to get nursing home to recognize a POA healthcare over my dad is a joke. It's a legal document that they have on file. They had a meeting with my dad about his healthcare needs was supposed to have been conferenced in but I was told that it wasn't a viable meeting but my stepmom and stepsister were there which have told him that he was not able to move back home but the nursing home did tell him that he was going home the following Monday which is not true. I'm tired of playing games with this nursing home my lawyer and I have decided to sue to get my dad out of a bad situation. I will have the directors job along with social worker and admissions office.

I have POA healthcare over my dad I did something stupid and got banned it's my own fault. The staff had a meeting this week and my stepmother and stepsister were there talked to the director Michael weaver and told him that I would liked to be conferenced in so I know what was going on, well needless to say that did not happen! I called my dad later that evening and told me that he was being discharged on Monday that's not going to happen because his wife and stepdaughter said that he could not go home. Cypress valley nursing home is the worst place I've ever dealt with. Called the social worker many times and got no response I've called the director and got 1 response not about my dad but the negative review I posted. The corporate office wants me to take down and I explained when things change I will but they are getting worse. My dad is still sleeping on a mattress with a hole in it. They are stressing my dad out and giving him false hope which can destroy his attitude on life and going home. Now no one is returning my phone calls.

A horrible place for your loved ones. They are short staffed and the place needs a good cleaning. Patients lay around without their personnel needs taken care of for long periods of time and they hesitate to answer the phone at the nurse’s desk when inquiring about the patient. My family member developed bed sores from lack of being cleaned and turned but according to the nursing staff, everything was ok. They would send the patient out for treatments in the hospital gown knowing that the weather was cold, not properly clothed at all and the patient developed a horrible cold. Family would visit to find the food tray cold and untouched because the patient couldn’t reach the tray and staff didn’t bother to help knowing the patient was immobile. It’s a shame patients have to suffer because the facility is lacking in all aspects. They act one way when family is present and another way after family leaves. Unfortunately, no other nursing home facility in the area had availability at the time of need to transfer the family member. I’ve personally seen nurses sitting around the nurses staton relaxing while 2 nurses aids were trying to take care of numerous patients in need on both sides of that floor. It got to the point where the staff couldn’t be trusted. It was a horrible experience for the patient and the family.
