Juanita in the appliance department at Lowe's in Rocky Mount went above and beyond in patiently and thoroughly answering my questions about washing machines. She showed me all of the ones in my price range and discussed what I wanted in a new washer. It was a pleasure to do business with her and I am very pleased with my purchase. Juanita is wonderful!

I recently moved here from another state. I have a lot of home projects that I need to complete. The staff here is less than helpful. The gentleman I purchased my washer and dryer from in appliances was helpful, (because of commission?) but beyond that everyone seems to run and hide. There were 2 men in paint, one working the other taking to him. Nether acknowledged me. I waited just under 10 minutes before realizing the guy who was talking worked in paint as well. When he was done with his story he came over with a smile on his face, like he didn’t just spend all that time ignoring me. I got five 1gal mixed paint from him. He clearly didn’t want to be there. It was uncomfortable. Lumber is the worst. Their inventory is not great and what they have is damaged. Don’t expect anyone to be able to help you with cutting lumber, glass, or plexiglass. You’re on your own. If you just need to pick up a few things that’s fine, but if you need assistance, don’t hold your breath. This is my new neighborhood and I’m very disappointed in my experience here.I can say the man who delivered and installed my washer and dryer (Robert Boon) was EXCELLENT. Probably because he doesn’t have to spend time inside with those miserable people.

They prefer to vote on damaged plants before giving them a discount of less than 50% which in the end end up in the bin.

Had what I needed . I bought a family appliance group consisting of frig, range, dishwasher, microwave, washer, and dryer. They delivered them. I unboxed the dishwasher and range so I could place them in my cabinet so the company could measure for my granite countertop. The range face plate was damaged. It looks like it was handled improperly. I called Lowes in Rocky Mount to report the damage. I was told that since my appliances came from a shipping warehouse in Garner, NC I had to go through them for a replacement. I called the number I was given and the recording stated there was AT LEAST an hour wait to get an associate on the p zz hone. I received no other instructions for help. I've learned a lesson.

This review would have been 5 stars minus this situation. We were helped by an incredible associate in training in the appliance department for over an hour. During checkout our military discount didn't work on the appliance --- despite the website promising one. Our associate that had been helping us knew this, but in response to our request - double checked with the 'Appliance department lead' regarding this discrepancy -- and he confirmed the discount no longer applied. The Appliance Department lead decided since he contributed this confirmation that he should be documented for the sale. While I assume Associates do not work on commission - sales do contribute to promotions and salary increases. We learned that this behavior is regular and tolerated.I have a hard time trusting a store that allows for supervisors to conduct this kind of behavior - Everyone should also be cautious. Your money has a voice. Use it wisely. I'm ashamed we didn't choose more wisely.

Went in to purchase a refrigerator, cashier rung it up then later found out they didn't have it in stock, so it took me 2 1/2 hours to finally finding out that u had to order it to be deliver to your house 2 days later, they called an associate to appliances multiple times and no buddy would show up, very bad communication between employees, and seems that customer service is the last thing in there mined,

Terrible service! Had to walk around to find someone to help. Then waited 30 minutes at the paint counter while they pages help 5 times and nothing. I left about $450 in lumber and supplies and will purchase elsewhere in the way to the jobsite! Same service different day

The lumber is always in terrible shape. I can barely find a semi straight board. Items are constantly out of stock in multiple areas. Items only get reordered when the slots are empty. When you have the wrong item in the slot, out of stock items never get reordered. You need to do a nightly cleanup to make sure items are in there right place. Shopping cart containment is in poor shape. I could barely even get out of my vehicle. Check out lines are always terribly long, inside and out in the garden area is even worse. The paint station needs two employees in that station at all times. Everyone that works there looks like they are burdened to work there. This may very well be the worst Lowe's in existence.11-19-23 UpdateStill long lines!
