We didn't stay in a tiny house (all booked) but at the Guest House. It was great! Location is perfect!

River & Twine is a Tiny House Hotel located adjacent to Rocky Mount Mills. We stayed the night. Our unit was clean and offered the convenience of a regular hotel. Fire pits are located around the units which is a nice addition. Please note, there's no staff on site so check in is done by email. Parking is not on the premises but in Rocky Mount Mills. Don't worry it's very safe. Give it a try for a different experience

This was an experiment for us with 2 adults and 2 teenagers. It was a tight fit but we made it work! The area was super clean and cute. The tiny home we stayed in was very clean and with a digital lock, easy to arrive and get right in. No check-in required. Huge plus in my book!A couple of observations:*While there was air con, the main bed is in the loft and was a bit stuffy once up there. A fan to use would have been great. In this unit, placed on top of the closet would have been prefect.*This house had a futon couch so while the kids fit, it was tight. I'm not sure we would do that again. Maybe take a small blow-up mattress.*You cannot park at the houses themselves except for drop ff. Not a biggie, just know you will park your car across the way in a lot (closer to the restaurants)*HUGE plus: They had charging stations that are available to use over near the restaurants. The area was a great location with an easy walk over to restaurants and even an ice cream truck and live music while we were there!Definitely recommend!

So glad I stumbled upon the Tiny House! I was skeptical as we have two kiddos and they love having a lot of space. It worked out great! We were able to fit a pack n play next to the converted couch/bed. Location couldn't be any more perfect. You can walk to restaurants/ breweries. Mind you, check hours prior to venturing out. It was a peaceful stay and was quite unique. My eldest thought it was super cool and asked if we could stay again. One note, steps are steep/ very tall so may not be easy for all to navigate to the main bed at the top (especially at night in the dark..) I would definitely go back. #staysmallyall #rockymountmills.

We really enjoyed our Tiny stay. It was an experience that our family looked forward to and it lived up to our expectations. We will definitely be planning a second trip.

Such a fun overnight spot! Loved our tiny house - had everything we needed and the location was great! Enjoyed the children's museum, bbq restaurant, and breweries. Came back after dinner and our kids loved the s'mores kit. Added the s'mores and beer tokens to our room reservation and that was great! Just so easy and enjoyable. Everyone was so nice and it was wonderful. Highly recommend!

We loved it here! We stayed one night and it was so worth the experience. Everything was so pretty and there were many details in our tiny house called The Chowan. I made a booking mistake and chose the wrong dates but they changed it without any problem which I was so thankful for. It is a really quite area and you can absolutely get your deep sleep in that awesome stay! There was absolutely nothing we missed there.

This is great for what it is...a tiny home motel/campground. Our tiny home that we had for a Saturday night in May was the Pamlico. I chose it because the steps to the upper floor looked sturdier and less steep than some of the other tiny homes. I was wrong. They are narrow but very deep. Precarious even if you're sober. And quite dangerous if you've been partaking in all the great breweries and restaurants. But that's not the house's fault. It was built that way probably to make use of every nook and cranny. And everything was spotless. The bed upstairs looked charming and comfortable. You definitely can't sit up in it without bonking your head. Would be perfect for children that never get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Or for adults who have young enough bladders to make it through the night.Never fear, cause downstairs the couch does make into a bed of some type. Not the most comfortable thing, but when you're glamping you're having fun and we had some good laughs.Location is right across the street from Rocky Mount Mills which is super enjoyable for a night away. We had a great dinner, lots of drinks and breakfast at the coffee shop the next morning. If you have children with you, there are volleyball nets, firepits, and other outdoor things around the tiny houses. They give you a code before you check in that gets you in your little house. There's no place to "check in and out".Note that River & Twine also has a guest house. That would be more our speed for next time.

We had a smooth check in / checkout experience, the unit was very clean and staff very responsive. It was the first time we'd stayed in a Tiny House and we are glad of the experience.

We stayed here (family of 4) on a trip down 95. Fun and different! Easy to walk to a # of restaurants and coffee shop. Management was very helpful bringing an extra blanket and FedExing something we left behind. It was a little tight for 4 people and 1 bed wasn't comfortable but otherwise, we loved it.

Adorable, clean and comfortable. Our first time in a tiny house and we loved it. It had everything we needed and we were surprised with how well it met our needs. Bed was comphy. The space was warm and it was quiet. Keep in mind the loft may not be for everyone, but the couches fold out into a bed if that works better. Great little place and mich better than a hotel room.Nearby activities: Plenty of great restaurants and shopping. A nice hike trail and waterfall close by.

My family and I stayed at River and Twine Tiny Homes for Christmas. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. They had Christmas lights it was the perfect touch to the "winter in wonderland experience ". It was very cold but the tiny homes are well isolated and they also provide small heaters for additional warmth along with the central heating system. We had an absolute fabulous time. Grills are set up in proximity to each tiny home as well as a fire pit. At the end of our trip the whole family was appreciative of the experience and asking ,"When can we come back?". To piggyback on their slogan, "Think small y'all"! You'll love it here!!!

Clean and cool. Everything as advertised. Quick response from the hosts when we needed some more coffee! Fun time at the Mills and great food. We got rained out so we couldn't hand by the fire pits but I'm sure it would have been cool. Be ready to not even be able to sit up in bed though. You'll have to use the downstairs area for any non-sleeping bed adventures.
