They have started doing this weird thing where they take you back,do 1 thing and send you back to sit in the waiting room. I have a multitude of problems and was sent here by a physician in there team. Was promised a room hours ago. I've never seen an ED run this way. I'm a nurse myself and am extremely disappointed in this new way they are running the ED.

They are the worst hospital in eastern NC & I recommend going anywhere else. They do not care for the patients or the families.

Tried writing this review before and it got sent straight to filtered. Here goes another attempt. I was a patient here and was treated so appallingly by a certain nurse that another RN who overheard urged me to formally complain. She supplied me with paper and pen and I wrote the complaint, which she then hand-delivered to the unhinged nurse's superiors. I was later updated the unhinged nurse was given a warning and a note placed in her personnel record. Not long after, I ran into this nurse at a gas station. She was leaving as I was entering. She and the people with her proceeded to get in my face and call me names like White B and cracker (original, eh). They yelled racial slurs and accused me of trying to have her fired. I didn't have my cellphone on my person, so was unable to record her. So apparently Nash Hospital retains unhinged nurses. This "nurse" needs mental counseling and probably some heavy duty meds. She really has no business working in healthcare or with people, period. I will never utilize the services of this hospital again. Most people advise you avoid it anyway and go to Greenville or Raleigh for hospital needs.

I would have ranked them lower than a 1. My mother has been a patient here several times and I have always been unimpressed. The quality of care is horrible and the communication is unreliable. My mom recently was a patient here on 5/23 to 5/27 that resulted in me requesting a transfer to Wakemed due to the lack of care, concern, and blatant neglect. My mother was misdiagnosed in the ER with pneumonia and then again misdiagnosed on the floor with a "brain cyst" both which were ruled out within hours of arriving to Wakemed. My mother had a rapid decline in medical and mental status under Nash's care without a reason. Dr. Patel, Dr. Sheth, the 3rd floor nursing staff, and Gail the house supervisor were all unhelpful took no time to investigate my mother's reason for being hospitalized. Where to begin on the 3rd floor nursing staff, they have no communication skills and I question their ability to treat patients. I would ask simple medical questions that the nursing staff could not answer, SCARY to say the least. Her nurse Anne was rude, short, and not knowledgeable, nor did she seem to care about the condition of my mother. I forced a transfer to Wakemed, where she is receiving way batter care and they are actually treating and investigating my mother's condition. Wakemed has ruled out several of Nash's poor and wrong diagnosis. I can confidently say that the UNC logo has done nothing for the nursing and care you will received here. Please seek treatment elsewhere.

I have never had a more disappointing ER experience. My father is back for the second day in a row... he was promised pain meds yesterday and he didn't get them. We're back today because the pain is worse. Whoever the radiologist is takes TOO long to read a STAT chart from the ER. 3 hours is too long to wait for an Ultrasound report and we're now at 1.5 hours waiting for results of a CT Scan... absolutely unacceptable for an ER visit. Seek help elsewhere.

Nash Hospital is very clean and nicely kept. It takes us almost an hour to get here but we prefer this rather than our local hospital. We've had nothing but good experiences here. The nurses we have had have been very gentle and have gone out of their way to make us as comfortable as possible during the situation.
