Cape Hatteras/Outer Banks KOA Resort is the ultimate oceanfront camping destination in North Carolina. This island retreat offers a more laid-back feel, perfect for getting away from it all.
The staff were mostly very nice and extremely helpful, and the grounds, including the pool and hot tub, were well-maintained. The bath and laundry areas were clean, and the events planned for kids and adults were good and fun. While some sites may flood during heavy rain, the resort provides easy access to the beach, whether you have a car or are walking/cycling.
The resort offers a great variety of amenities, including a pool, and is in a prime location for exploring the Outer Banks. While it may be on the pricier side, the convenience and quality of the facilities make it a worthwhile investment. Guests consistently report having a wonderful time and plan to return, praising the friendly staff, clean facilities, and great access to the seashore and Pamlico Sound.

Fantastic park. Great staff, store and showers. Mere steps to the beach. Make sure you book a site with a covered picnic table! We wanted to stay longer but the weather got treacherous. Hoping all is well!

Arrived on Friday to only stay two nights. Fell in love with the place so we stayed an extra night! Lots of fun activities for the kiddos and even some for adults! Bob was such a sweetheart and hope he is still here when we return for our next trip to OBX!
