This store is a shame and a disappointment to Rowland. They are under new management. Prices have doubled in the store. You get 2 potato wedges now with an order. I wish Ms Stones had not sold out to these ppl. It is not cost effective for the area. Lunch cost almost 15.00. Its is terrible for a convenient store.

Hey, am I really giving four stars for gas station fried chicken??? Yep!!! We were traveling on the I-95 corridor and stopped for a night at a hotel. While we were there, the clerk referred us to a local pizza place for dinner and then told us about a "secret" chicken shop a few miles away... Minute Stop. She told us that it was completely addictive and once you eat it you will never want any other chicken. She may have been right. If you take the exit for the garish South of the Border attraction, head five minutes in the opposite direction and look for a gas station with tons of cars... that will be Minute Stop! You may have to wait a few minutes for a place to park or you can park on the side street. Walking in it looks like a typical gas station convenience store except it has a handful of booths and a long line for the chicken. Don't be afraid of the wait time because they move really fast! I ordered a four piece box with cole slaw and taters and it was $7.49 which was a deal! It was indeed one of the best pieces of fried chicken I have ever eaten. Perfectly golden and crispy, well seasoned (a bit on the salty side but not too much), and juicy. They cook so much chicken that it keeps coming out hot and fresh. For the sides, I got excited reading another review that said they have mac and cheese but they don't. Their cole slaw was good. The only reason I am not giving them five stars is because the taters were not crispy and not well seasoned. I was totally able to overlook this given the quality of the chicken! I also had a piece of coconut cream pie which was good too! If you ever happen to be cruising across the North and South Carolina border on 95, be sure to take this five minute detour for chicken. Even if you get it to go, it was amazing cold too!
