“Drs. Thrift and Sheppard have been excellent to my horses and donkeys for several years now. Dr. Thrift also did an excellent job disbudding a few goat kids for me and assisting with a few other goat issues. I've had several equine emergency calls with them and plenty of routine stuff, too. They're prompt, accessible and thorough. Dr. Thrift stayed involved when my mare had to go to NC State. She consulted with the vets there, received updates, and stayed in touch with me about the decision to ultimately let her go. I'll be forever grateful for her support during that difficult time. I highly recommend this practice.”

“Fantastic Veterinarians and staff. My elderly dog became very sick over the Fourth of July- took him to the closest veterinarian (not Mt Tabor) was charged excessive emergency fees- only for the Vet to tell us he could not find a problem. Sent him home on strong pain medication that made his issues much worse. Fast forward to today- brought him to see Dr.B. She listened to his heart and knew right away there was a serious problem. After an EKG and ultrasound we found out he has fluid around his heart and his cancer has most likely returned. Not the diagnosis I wanted but now we have an answer. We were also not rushed nor charged outrageous fees. Mount Tabor is a drive for me but I will gladly do it to take my dogs to them.”

I love this place, especially love the new location - so much easier to get in and out. These folks are absolutely top drawer. They took care of my ancient Siamese, Stinky Mookus, and were there for her when it was the end. I just cannot say enough about these wonderful people. They are the best!”

“I absolutely love this clinic and hope Dr. Bowen never retires. The front desk staff and vet techs are the absolute best. There is no revolving door, it’s the same friendly and knowledgeable staff each and every time I come which says a lot about how this clinic is ran. They know all four of my critters by name and are so good to them when we come. When Dr. Bowen sees them, he takes his time and goes over every question and concern without rushing me. That’s hard to find anywhere nowadays and I think it makes a tremendous difference in their quality of care. I can’t recommend them enough!”

“My dog had never been to Banfield yet since we had all of his shots done before moving into town. Unfortunately, my dog passed on December 15, 2023. I had no idea what to do and we weren't prepared for this moment. My 21 year old Son was with him when he passed trying to recesitate his dog that had been in his life since my son was 8 years old. My poor baby was home calling 911. We were getting ready to walk on stage for our 1 and only live public Christmas show that people paid for to come see us. I called Banfield because we used PetSmart to bathe and cut Cams toenails several times. Whoever the young lady was that answered the phone, I Thank you so much. Your tone was pleasant. She didn't make it seem like we were crazy crying over a dog that we had rescued and had for over 13 years. She gave me a company out of Kernersville to call, and I was connected with Whitney of Agape Pet Services out of Kernersville.They came within an hour or so and picked our Cam up. They handled everything and made us feel as if our love was in great hands. The show went on as we performed with hurt hearts.If it wasn't for Banfield, we would have lost our minds that night. I'm sure that if they took the time to care for a stranger and a dog, they never met.....I am 100% sure they take care of their own.Whoever answered the phone that night. “I love this vet's office! They are upfront with the humans and get on the pet's level - both the doctor and the assistant got on the floor to check out my older dog. I appreciated that they didn't put her on the cold exam table. My baby is getting older and we were given some good advice on how to keep her from injury - the dog didn't get the memo. She walks up and down the stairs unaided and is faster than we thought she was.”
