I was out there to do a job for Ivueit and ran into some confusion, but the management was kind as well as patient. I was able to accomplish what I came to do and the staff at this Family dollar is amazing. The store seemed fully stocked, the aisles were tight but clean, and the restroom was tidy. Definitely one of the better Family Dollars I have been to.

I was able to find exactly what I needed. I didn’t want to use a traditional gift bag, but I wanted to get a decorative basket to put gifts in that could later be functional in a home. It was very inexpensive and super cute!

For the convenience alone, this is 5 stars.Staff is nice and helpful, and the hours are fine. It is nitpick to say, but a 7am opening might help some early risers in the area!

I would like to speak of my experience at the Family Dollar Store in Greenhill N. C. Near Rutherfordton/ Lake Lure. I arrived at the front door as the clerks ( Liz short for Elizabeth I suppose and Heather, I am under the impression that is their names , not postive but would bet on it)were locking the door to close for the evening. As a veteran of Operation Desert Sheild, Operation Desert Storm, and some years later Operation Enduring Freedom I am privy to regulations, following orders and doing things by my superiors, "sacred book" , least thy receiving the afore mentioned wrath! When they explained it was closing time I turned my wheelchair to board my specially equiped mobility van the clerk Liz I think asked " Sir, was you needing anything important? Well as a matter of fact I was, I won't get into my personal medical history, but I returned home from my 3rd great vacation in the dessert caring one less body part courisity of Saddam Hussins elite Republican Guard and a stratically placed I E.D. in my company's Armored Troop Deployment Vehicle,of which I was a passenger. As she unlocked the door and escorted me in , and I feeling embarrassed because of the type of over the counter medicine product I desired and the urgency of said requested device, explained that I didnt expect her to break family's dollars store policy simply said and I quote " SIR, thank you for your service to my country, and you can have anything I own and right now I own everything in this store! As the two beautiful young ladies escorted me around the store, one pushing me and one pushing the cart, with doors locked and I the lone customer, feeling something I had not felt in years, that there IS A FEW who have not forgotten the job we tried to do in that God forsaken Dessert, I did explain to her after she remarked something about a hero and job be damned, that the real heros of all three battlefields let's their jobs of defending this great nation in bodybags all I did was leave my brothers in arms ,dead, on a F_____ u battlefield in a faraway place, After they rang up my purchased items and refused payment of any sort I was escorted to my van and we bid farewell, after backing out I spied one of the beautiful young ladies through the window holding her purse and removing some bills and paying for my purchases. With a tear on my check I felt like a whole man again, knowing my faith in mankind was restored and would never wavier again.. Miss Liz and Miss Heather, if I am correct in my recollection, Thank you for YOUR SERVICE, and if your superiors want to leave you on graveyard shift with your outstanding communion skills being wasted don't fret, Your reward, I expect will come from a much higher power.First Sgt WjPadgett 3rd Div PID parachute infantry div 2nd Co.
