We really enjoyed Eighteen Thirty-Nine Antiques! Very nicely done booths! Very much enjoyed Christmas carolers while we were shopping! Top-notch establishment! Will visit again!

They're only open limited hours, but I really like this place and the man that runs it. I always find some little treasure.

Stopped by here after a nice day at the bullhole with the boys. When we walked in we realized we were in a true "pickers" style shop. Framed paintings were EVERYWHERE. The huge rooms in the old building were FULL of random pieces. A lot of the pieces were unmarked, so you had to ask the owner what he was asking, which we don't mind doing at all. We spent an hour there, opening boxes and finding what we could find. A lot of Junk, but also some interesting pieces. We pulled out what looked like a gold mining pan and an insulated mason jar. I asked how much for both pieces and he said $13. I asked if he'd take ten and he went FULL CURMUDGEON on us. It was almost comical. He literally wagged his finger at us and said "if you are wanting bargainin' then you've come to the WRONG place." I calmly replied, would you take $12? Just to see how firmly he was against "barganin" and he also rejected it. We left empty handed. I maybe could understand if this was one of those "ritzy" antique shops where everything is clearly marked, it's air conditioned, and you don't have to climb through cobwebs and roach droppings to see the antiques... but not this place. The funny thing is, I told him earlier that I was going to come by later in the week and pick up a painting he had on the wall. But, after my boys left asking "why was that man so angry?" I think we'll shop elsewhere for our antiques. If you are a person who likes to haggle- in any way shape or form, STEER CLEAR.

Stained glass and old documents are the standard fare here. If you are looking for either, this it definitely a must see place. Business hours are sporadic and the place is a bit hard to find. But it is definitely worth your time, especially if you like digging through the clutter to find your "treasures".
