AmeriGas is the worst, order my tank in May of 2023, they delivered my tank, came back out, filled the tank with over $900.00 in gas, someone was supposed to come out and run new gas line to the new unit, no one ever came out, call at the end of June, they fill out a report and said someone would be out the following week, waited a week after that before I called again, got the same song and dance, they would fill out a report, I did this several times over the next couple of months and when I say couple I mean 5 months, so by November it was get colder, I call AmeriGas once again, and told them to come get their tank and to credit me for the gas in the tank, I call another gas company they were out with a new tank got my new line installed and had me running within a few days, as for AmeriGas it the middle of January and they still haven't got the gas out of the tank or picked it up. 7 and a half months, and I spent another hour and 45 mins today with on resolution.

Customer service is terrible. The service representative's that I've spoken with twice this year don't understand simple requests. I ran out of gas because your system wasn't updated when I replaced my tank this year. I was completely out of gas for over three days due to YOUR SYSTEM FAILURE to update the level of gas in my tanks. Your system showed that my gas level was at 60% but it was completely EMPTY. This is the absolute worst experience I've had and will never recommend your company to anyone. I am completely dissatisfied with your service.

Very Disappointing. Drove all the way to the store and no one was there to fill my tank. Website indicated that they were open and ready to fill tanks. No one person anywhere to be seen.

This used to be a great company when it was Cooper Gas, but since it has become AmeriGas, it’s the worst LP gas company. They charge you for EVERYTHING! I’m going to switch before they charge another fee for something else I’m not aware of! I’ve asked for them to send my statements in the mail, they don’t, and then I have late fees that the representative couldn’t tell me I owed for! This is now a company that is for profit, taking your hard earned money and keeping it for themselves! Cooper, why did you sell out to them, I miss the family oriented company that you used to be!

The Outsourcing of your agents is pathetic. They do not speak English very well and are extremely difficult to deal with. It has made me consider canceling my subscription with AmeriGas and move to another company. I made multiple phone call during and after normal work hours....

Told the gentleman on the phone to contact us before they came and never received a call. Then was given more propane than asked. Now expected to pay for the extra propane. I’m not happy and plan taking my business elsewhere.

I gave five start when this was Cooper LP Gas. As soon as Amerigas took over and shut the local office down they went to one star.

I requested a quote from Amerigas for the complete installation of a standby generator at my home months ago. Amerigas has installed underground gas line(s) to the generator. I have waited for the final connection to the generator for a long time. I have been patient, however, my patience has come to an end. I have had no communication for weeks detailing when Amerigas will finish the work.The second irraitant is that I do not like trying to communicate with companies that have their customer service representatives that are not based in the United States. At best, they are very difficult to understand. This problem works both ways. Most of the time when I have communicated with custome service representatives from Amerigas, that reside overseas, the Amerigas technician who shows up at my door has no idea what needs to be done. I assume that the non-US based customer service representative does not understand me either.I know that this is not the first time that Amerigas has heard this, however, I do not expect this to change and results in bad PR for Amerigas in the end.Will Amerigas come and finish this project? I hope that they will.Thank you,Ian

Bought a new place, and the gas left in the tank didn't last as long as I thought it would. Called Payne, and they said they couldn't be out until after Christmas weekend (with the big arctic blast temperature drop this year over the weekend). So I called AmeriGas, and they said they would be out within 24 hours, beating Payne's price to boot. The following morning, I call and check the order status. Says it will be delivered today. Called early afternoon, said today. Well, the sun has set so I call again, says today, but I decide to actually talk to someone. I get an Indian call center. First time they pick up but don't answer. Second time they leave me in hold. Third time, I finally get a supervisor, only to be told that since I didn't complete a survey that I never received (checked spam, not there either), they can't be out for a week. I was also told things like they couldn't come out without a $300 emergency service fee, which was never mentioned when I placed the order.To add insult to injury, Payne showed up early in the day (unannounced. Last I knew, I was waiting for a call to find out when they could come), and I turned them away.

If I could give NO STAR or NEGATIVE STAR I surely would.Call center provided no assistance. Employees each had terrible attitudes. I went without gas for approx 5 days and was told it would arrive multiple times and it did not. Requested a manager multiple times and was not connected to manager at any time. Went without heat at home or hot water through Christmas with infant and family at home through the coldest days of the year due to lack of communication from call center to delivery center.Use any other company. Just not AmeriGas. This company only has 2 drives for the entire area.
